QUOTE(lazzy_dogg @ May 16 2011, 01:11 AM) i wonder they got put some "sound proof" material for the raised flooring... or else will be quite noisy..... Wood base platform is hollow, so there should have a sound when u step harder. If really want to make the no sound at all, if the location is possible, then u can use cement base as a platform, then lay with laminated floor board with under-lay then that will really no sound at all just like normal floor. |

Hi all,
I wanted to install a platform base in my bedroom .... height is around 6 inch. I got quotation from CK kitchen, they offer me 3 prices: 1. melamine ABS material RM 3k 2. laminate 4k 3. laminate flooring 5.6k! can anyone tell me what is the differences and if they are being reasonable? I believe laminated flooring is the best? I dont have a bed frame in the room, we sleep on the floor, and it is at first floor. I wanted to install one 3m by 3.5m platform bed so that our baby can sleep with us... appreciate any help you can provide! thanks people! |

My house is in Selayang and I'm urgently looking for contractor to build the following:
- 14 x 11 feet concrete flooring on my porch (currently its grass/weed + two rows of concrete blocks 1x3 feet each on soil) - installation of tiles I will source the tiles myself. My porch is about 21 x 11 feet of grass/soil area and one contractor qouted me 2k++ to turn them into concrete flooring ONLY (no tiling). Sounds ridiculous for such a plain output. I wanted 14 x 11 feet tiled pavement just right for my cars to park nicely and the rest I grow my own grass. PM me thanks. |
