not all electrical appliances can take the output of modified sine-wave inverter... especially your fans, fridge, A/C, W/H with built-in pump etc...
You'll need pure sine-wave type inverter and this is where the cost is high!

I did a research recently, for a ~450W solar PV grid-tie system, the cost is already about RM7k-8k.
The greatest hurdle is these quality products are no where to be found in Malaysia... plus import TAX / troubles.... mood already turned off!

If say managed to get & implement, this will only save you about RM20 worth of electricity bill every month, PROVIDED the SUN is shining bright everyday from 10AM - 3PM.
So, ROI is 33 years.

Earning through FiT policy only applies if you have a system that can supply surplus after taking care of the load of your house! On average, a Malaysian house with 2 adults consumes about 3kWh/day.

Too many financials to think over before one can say it makes economical sense to jump onboard!

NelsonBoy, yes, u may try connecting a fan to your car inverter, it'll work but very noisy & no smooth fan rotation OR it may not work at all! laugh.gif
