lol...Berba has a goal taken away from him, so he has 20 league goals now...Then Tevez also a goal taken away from him, so he has 18...Berba still 2 goals clear
they can win the uefa cups/europa league as many times as possible for all i care..we all know which one is more important and significant to us as well as to them, and that's the premier league, which they have none

well both of you are a bit wrong, the uefa cup was not the 2nd tier back then.it all changed when too many changes introduced in it and now platini just made a joke out of it, but some positives a lot of smaller clubs get their share of revenue.
these are old cups where back then winning it was a major feet some thing similar to lifting a league title.now days due the tv rights they are getting less and less valued.
i agree with it was "bigger" back then, as in more prestigious, but iirc it was always not for the winners of domestic leagues, was it? winners of domestic leagues qualify for the european cup back then, so that's why i thought this was always 2nd tier and still is, while there was another uefa cup winners cup which was for the cup winners but they dont exist anymore...correct me if im wrong tho...

well i dont thk anyone is belittling the uefa cup/europa league, it is still a tough competition to win, no doubt about that...but in terms of achievement, recognition and even quality of play, it is always behind the european cup/champions league...
but my initial post last page wasnt about that actually..what i meant was ManUtd, and i dare say Liverpool has always prioritise the domestic league at the start of every season

Sir Alex will not face a ban but has been "warned as to his future conduct" by the Football Association following comments made about referee Howard Webb on 6 May 2011.

Despite praising Webb at his pre-match press conference, the boss was charged with improper conduct by the FA last Friday. The FA's Respect campaign requests managers do not speak about match officials - in a positive or negative light - prior to fixtures.
A Regulatory Commission has today warned the Reds manager over his future conduct, with the commission's chairman saying: "This rule was brought in at the start of the 2009/10 season and was reiterated formally to all clubs again on 21 October 2010.
"This is a clear breach of the rule and it is the first time such a matter has been placed in front of a Commission. As a result of this charge The Commission were aware of other occasions where pre-match comments were made by other managers.
"In this case, it was considered to be a minor breach, but a breach nevertheless, and it should be taken as a warning to all managers in the future that any such breach, even positive comments, are likely to result in a charge by the FA."
will be exciting to see if SAF decides to give a chance to the likes of Norwood, Pogba, Petrucci and even problematic Morrison...all of them are midfielders, are they ready to step up? hard to say...but unlikely SAF will do that though
