Dragon Momoko Deathscythe Hell
user posted image

Well heres the Dragon Momoko Deathscythe Hell. Great kit and super detailed! Only 2 problems I had were:
1. The ankle. Im talking about the polycap at the bottom of the leg that connects to the ankle part which connects to the foot. Is that poly cap wobbly? I noticed it when I was building it, but I didn't think that it would be a major problem. Seems like I was wrong, it either balances to the rear or balances to the front. Its confirmed that it is the same on the Dragon Momoko Deathscythe too.

2. The front chest piece does not connect well together with the rear piece. There is a slight gap at the bottom. I dont know if this is the case due to painting or not.

3? I dunno if this is counted as a problem, but it is missing the pilot figures of Duo Maxwell. I dont mind anyway, becasue he'll be sealed up inside the cockpit anyway.

It was fully painted(airbrushed) with acrylic paints(all custom mixed and using non hobby brand paints too).

Anyway here are more pics!

Dragon Momoko Blade Liger

I bought this only cause its cute, itll most like be one of the only 2 SD kits I have(this and the SD Nightingale). Cool kit, with not too many parts, so it'll take 30 mins max to finish it OOB. Pretty detailed too, just like the Deathscythe Hell. Am in the process of painting it now, and it will be unveiled sometime before New Years.

TheDeathscythe kits did not come with a pilot, but this one did. Though this one is slightly different to the original Van pilot. This one doesnt have spikey hair, and it was molded on the white sprue rather than molded in ABS like what the instructions say.
user posted image

And my kits came with the special gold plated parts, as can be seen in the pics(teeth and blades). I dont know if this is a first batch special or not, but with the 2 kits I got, they both had these parts. The real kit only had these parts due to some special offer.

Anyway, more cute pics to droll over!

And this was what I was talking about earlier, with the spelling of Dragon Momoko. Its spelt Dragon Momoko on the box, and the logo on the sprue, but the wording in the sprue says Dragon Momko. I do not know what the true spelling is rclxub.gif . Bad for the company, how are we supposed to know how to spell their name corectly?

It is also the same case with the Deathscythe Hell.

bro.....u spray paint the purplish grey with wat colour?

Uh the purplish gray colour was weird looking, so I airbrushed a custom gray over it. It is slightly lighter than medium grey.

But thats suprising! Most have been all the effort put into the kit, none into their own name?

Ooh! Does the logo say Daban Hobby? Wonder what the quality is like and how cheap it is. Plus what future kits they will release(cmon PG 00 Raiser).

QUOTE(zheyuen @ Dec 26 2011, 09:21 PM)
great review! thanks!

You think that's a review? Lol that's just a short paragraph on what I think about the kit. I wouldn't call that a review. But as you can see from the pics, it's a very good kit for its price.

I do hope Dragon Momoko make more kits.

But at least they bothered to include the pilot, even if they did make it themselves. Maybe there's a way to get the spikey hair. Chop the hair off and mold putty to look it or sand away the hair to make it look spikey. I dunno, I'll see what I can do.

Only pictures of the thrusters? Wanna see inside the box!

Added on December 28, 2011, 10:59 amWhy would RC be fake? They aren't directly copying a product that has already been made.

We'll see what the modeling community brand it as, fake or a new brand?

Runners
Sorry No Pics of the runners. Bro built his and I built mine, so no pics. But All I can say is that the quality of Dragon Momoko is amazing. I reckon that its the best detailed pirate company out there.

And my kits came with the special gold plated parts, as can be seen in the pics(teeth and blades). I dont know if this is a first batch special or not, but with the 2 kits I got, they both had these parts. The real kit only had these parts due to some special offer.

Painting
There are no pre-painted parts for this kit. There some small white and gray parts that you want to paint, but it’s nothing much.

The biggest challenge is to paint the Van figure. Mine worked out alright I think. This one doesnt have spikey hair, and it was molded on the white sprue rather than molded in ABS like what the instructions say. That means Dragon Momoko are actually not fully copying the kits.
user posted image

Articulation
Articulation is very limited in some parts. The legs dont bend at the kness, only by a ball joint at the top. The feet are attched via a double ball joint. Gives some articulation, but the ankle armour gets in the way. The most articulate part would be the head. Pretty good range of movement but is hindered by the fins on the head. The booster cover and booster on the back that can be lifted as well. The tail is only articulate in the base joint.

That still doesn’t stop from posing it in the most adorable way. smile.gif

Gimmicks
The actual blade can be detach and rearrange to make the illusion of extending the blade/wing.

Anyway, more cute pics to droll over!

This is my fully painted kit. If you want to view the non painted kit, please check out page 118.

Oh and as for the plastic quality, it seems pretty good. I had no trouble painting on it with acrylic. With enamel, the plastic can survive it without melting. Its durable enough. I had to clamp together the head cause I was having trouble closing it with my hands. The plastic did not go white due to strain which is a good thing!

Any thing else, just ask!

Well I got my huge order in last week, and people were interested in the GHD kits. Well here are some pics.

user posted image

Its not that bad of a kid. Looking at the parts, it isnt too crappy, molding was pretty spot on. If I compare it to my GHD 1/60 Strike Freedom, Id say this is much better quality. New batch from this year maybe?

Sorry not many pics for this. I will do an extensive review when I build it.

1/144 Meteor

user posted image

Parts
Ok quality. Wouldnt say its the best. Detail is ok, a lil less than TT.
user posted image

Molding was crappy, but I know that the GHD kit is super old, and they are re releasing it! There are runs in most of the kit. I guess its ok, since I would be painting etc, but for OOB builds, itll look crappy.
user posted image

user posted image

Although, the 1/144 Freedom that it comes with is actually quite good. I cant seem to find any runs, and the detail is on par with TT(but no where near Dragon Momoko)
user posted image

Once I build it I will be doing a more extensive review.

And to show you guys how huge the order is:
user posted image

Everything there + one more Destiny EBM and 1 more Blade Liger. Minus the B*ndai Ball.

And now Im gonna also get the GoGo HiNu EVO, the RC 1/100 Nightingale, and maybe the TT MG Wing Zero.

finishing quite nice.... for details also nice....
Thumbs up TT for making a copy of this....

just done inner frame of the body and right leg..hahaha

You're preying thy much effort into the inner frame? I just sprayed it all gun metal and built it. With the pistons etc, they were painted red/silver.

It'll all get covered by the armor anyway. But nice going so far! I just finished my whole inner frame for the Zaku too.

QUOTE(zennan83 @ Dec 30 2011, 10:10 PM)
mind to ask how much the shipping fee for these order?
*
For all that it was about $90usd for EMS. But that's for about 13kg of kits.

I winder how heavy the 1/100 Nightingale is? Will it be a killer price for shipping?

Yeah someone posted this a couple pages ago. I asked about it but no one replied. And i can't seem to find any info about this new company.

But good job to them on pirating what is known as one of the best MG kits! Wonder what the quality and plastic is like. And what new kits they'll be releasing in the near future.

If that's a full Bendi kit, it actually looks good.

Wonder what their EVA-01 looks like?

I can't compare it, but I'll do an in depth review. I'll build it right after my Zaku(almost done, maybe 2 more days). A few pages back there's a sneak peek at the parts.

Added on January 1, 2012, 5:59 pmOh and I bought mine for $29usd.

Thats what Im most likely gonna do!

Added on January 2, 2012, 6:42 pmOh and for my Zaku, I noticed that the power cables on the head looked off? Did TT make a mistake or something? Its wide near the mouth and curves close to the head at the back. It should be the other way around.

Is this supposed to be like this?
