Good evening members of this forum.
First let me apologize for my English, I'm using the google translator.
I am Brazilian and my ISP installed in my house, the modem fiber optics GPON ONT model I 240G-P and I did not leave CD installation or configuration.
As our connection is PPPoE need to create an account to do this authentication.
I know we can do this in the modem itself, accessing the site: http://192.168.1.251 (IP Gateway).
By accessing this address, username and password is required.
I've tried:
User Name / Password
root / admin
root/1234
admin / admin
and many others.
I wonder if anyone knows how to configure and access the modem.
I appreciate any attention.
Thanks
Fabiano, his friend in Brazil

Manually configure your network adapter to 192.168.1.xxx
Then
Access using SSH via PuTTy (BTU IP : 192.168.1.251)
Username : root
Password : admin

then on the ONT> page
type enable and press enter

which makes it look like this

ONT#

then you type help for more commands

ONT#help

from here you can proceed to do your settings as I'm not very sure about the settings would end up killing my configuration on the router

I can able to open the Web interface but i couldn't get through cause I do not know the password, or it must be configured in the terminal before logging in to the router, good luck with it

Hi there,
may i know how you configure the #ont/system/shell to gain access to the web interface?

I tried append rule 80 in the iptables. Then save it with "iptables-save". I don't know what is the command to reload iptables. If i reboot the configuration is lost.
Would you mind provide detail step by step instructions on how you enable the web interface.

Thank you in advance.
