But since you asked here, yes you can connect to LCD monitor, but must have HDMI connection else you will need to get a DVI-HDMI adapter.

Most monitors should have HDMI connection but check just in case. I'm also using one which is Viewsonic brand. 24 inch at RM 600. Now should be less I guess.

Myself not quite an audiophile and can't really differentiate high quality and low quality sound. so doens't matter to much for me. As long the BOOM sounds like a BOOM then its good enuff

Best to read reviews from the US buyers first like Amazon, etc. Some of the other headsets make claims can hear pin drops, footsteps, cue sounds while playing COD, etc especially the high end triton, turtle beach ones.

If sony can do this then great. Else, it will be like psp go go go. Though for wireless, the price is pretty cheap.
