Group E is shaping up to be the most potentially explosive so far... can't wait for when the Azzurri meet the Czechs!

Good luck in the semi-finals... hope Totti and the rest of the Azzurri strike force turn up the heat to spoil the host's party! |

The agony...
![]() ...and the ecstasy... ![]() What a match... almost feel asleep for 90 minutes... Italians were on backpedal most of the time... they could hardly string together any forward movement and Camoranesi was one frustrated man. Then extra time and BAM! suddenly the quality of the match improved. Well-fought by both sides with lots of close calls. Endless BTW in 1st half what the *heck* was Totti doing jumping on Ballack? And what's up with Gattuso being so friendly go and touch-touch Ballack until he got angry? QUOTE(state of abyssmal @ Jul 5 2006, 11:03 PM) Truer words have never been spoken... although I hope it doesn't jinx Gigi before the final. |

I share your gratitude. The Argies failed to finish them off no thanks to Pekerman but thank goodness we had the Azzurri finish the job. And they did so in style, I might add. QUOTE(rEDs @ Jul 10 2006, 04:36 PM) On the contrary I'm thinking the Argies should be happy for Camo and the Azzurri for helping them to knock Germany out. QUOTE On July 9th 2006 he was one of the players who won Italy's 4th World Cup. After the game he had his famous long black hair cut off before his side collected the trophy. When the TV camera approximated him in the middle of the field, he dedicated the world championship in Spanish "...para los pibes del barrio..." (for the guys in my neighborhood) And Cannavaro... I'm banking on him to win the Golden Ball now that Zizou has won the Golden Head. This post has been edited by ming2020: Jul 10 2006, 05:01 PM |

QUOTE(zoidx_chung @ Jul 10 2006, 09:50 PM) they said Italy play dirty to win the champion... Dirty? In the final? No way. But they were lucky. The Azzurri had superb defence, but Les Bleus had superb defence and attack. Too bad France had sh*t luck losing top performers Vieira, Henry, Ribery & ZZ to injuries, substitution & plain stupidity.i personally not agree with it!!! But this is the WC and luck always matters in the WC. This post has been edited by ming2020: Jul 11 2006, 01:57 AM |

QUOTE(unknown @ Jul 11 2006, 03:16 AM) Bla bla bla bla.... so where's the evidence? Testimony from only the French players? Or someone happened to record what was being said? And Materazzi you horny pervert... none of this would've happened if you didn't fondle Zidane's breast in the first place. |

QUOTE(jones007 @ Jul 12 2006, 05:46 PM) Four years is a mighty long time to be coaching just for a handful of major internationals. His advancing age means it could be more worthwhile going back to club management where he could get into action more regularly. Or maybe he wants to retire altogether. This post has been edited by ming2020: Jul 13 2006, 08:02 AM |

QUOTE Materazzi brought the meeting forward from July 20 due to his holidays, and Vigorelli confirmed: "Marco will fly on Sunday to the Maldives. He then joked: "Do you know where Zidane will spend his holidays? It's just that the Maldives are small islands..." LOL... this agent really want those two to have a re-match... sounding like boxing promoter pulak... |

On the lighter side of things.... Gattuso being over-enthusiastic with Lippi following the win over the Czech Republic:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVKXrvr3ySg Lippi was without his glasses at the end, I wonder if Rino tore them off his face. In case any you missed the post-match celebrations. Btw if anyone's got a higher resolution copy of the above video, kindly PM me tq. |

Angry Milan fan puts keeper Dida up for sale
QUOTE ROME, April 27 (Reuters) - An angry AC Milan fan put Brazil goalkeeper Dida up for sale on the internet ahead of next week's Champions League semi-final return with Manchester United. The 33-year-old, who joined Milan in 2000, was a hero after the shootout win over Juventus in the 2003 Champions League final but his popularity has slumped after a series of errors. He was criticised following last week's 3-2 first-leg defeat to United at Old Trafford, when he flapped a Cristiano Ronaldo header into his own net and then left his near post exposed for Wayne Rooney to blast home a stoppage-time winner. Dida failed to attract great interest on eBay. The price, before the Brazilian international was removed from the auction site on Friday, had reached 71 euros ($96.66) after 25 bids. |
