since italy have beaten probably the strongest team which is Belgium in group match...the remaining ones should win as well...

honestly the biscotto thing happened bcos we r not gd enuf sampai kena depend on others...a true champion hopefuls must never rely on dat even though sometimes it happened...

luca toni...grosso world cup's squad was the best...underdog but powerful
honestly they peaked during d last euro n got fatigue against spain...they even huffed n puffed during d last world cup due to the d euro hype (and balotelli!!!)...now they r getting the best out of nothing...

i can feel the aura when everybody looking down on them...d spirit now is right...the only problem is they need the defence to stay intact during d knockouts round...

i agree...during euro 2012, i already expected italy to progress till the finals but their stamina had depleted, hence getting slaughtered by spain...sad day for me

For me, I do think partly also mistake in formation, we did relatively well in the opening match to Spain using 3-5-2 mid to contain.

3-5-2 formation works well if at least 2 of the midfielders (looking at De Rossi) are sharing defending responsibilities as well...

in the belgium match...lukaku almost scored a goal when presented with a 1-on-1 situation but luckily he missed the target

-revenge against Sweden (2004), done

-revenge against Spain (2008 & 2012), done

now against Germany. Italy rarely have a bad blood against them bcoz we usually have an upper-hand (WC 2006, EU 2012)...and having that "Germany boogey team" tag made me more confident about prospect of facing Germany rather than the likes of Spain/France

but that's all count for nothing in the actual match. Lets hope the same Italy that show up last night against Spain, will be there against Germany this Saturday

sweet revenge indeed...
against germany if italy can maintain the same mentality and superb counter-attacks (hopefully candreva has recovered by then)...shouldn't be an issue to beat germany even if scoreline is 1-0

no motta still acceptable...
but without candreva who's constantly ripping defense apart and de rossi bossing the midfield...gonna be tough

very sad to see italy crush out like this...

only 2nd time italy didn’t qualify for WC due to aging players
