They should invert blue-white for second jersey instead of "roma"ish color. its just dont fit for the azzuri for that color.

I also prefer if they could use Juve this season keeper shirt(1st jersey) as second jersey. Thats more toward patriotic and better design as well.

Italian Government steps into TV rights row

Italy's communications minister Mario Landolfi told Serie A clubs and television networks to find a compromise and resolve a row about TV rights that has threatened the competition.

Fourteen Serie A sides had threatened to boycott matches against Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan in a multi-million euro dispute about how clubs sell their broadcast rights.

Landolfi, after a three hour meeting with soccer and television chiefs, told a news conference he had told those involved to use their good sense to broker a deal.

'Those in charge of soccer and television have been urged to find a solution that guarantees the championship and fulils the needs of the broadcasters,' Landolfi said.

Marcello Lippi has recalled Christian Vieri, Simone Perrotta and given Fiorentina’s Manuel Pasqual his debut for Italy’s friendly against Germany.


Vieri has shown better form since he began playing regularly at Monaco, while Perrotta has been the driving force behind Roma’s revival with 10 consecutive Serie A wins.


Pasqual is the only absolute beginner in the side, having impressed since his move to Fiorentina from Serie B outfit Arezzo in the summer.


The left-back will turn 24 years of age in mid-March and has made 23 League appearances for the Viola this term.


He was playing for amateur team Derthona as recently as 2001, going on to Treviso, Arezzo and Fiorentina, so he should make his Azzurri bow in his ‘home’ stadium.


Palermo defender Christian Zaccardo is also included, as Juve's Gianluca Zambrotta is injured, taking the Rosanero contingent up to five players.


However, Lippi has left Milan’s Filippo Inzaghi – on target again today – and Real Madrid benchwarmer Antonio Cassano at home. Gianluigi Buffon returns after his shoulder surgery, with Udinese’s Morgan De Sanctis and Livorno shot-stopper Marco Amelia as back-up.


The Azzurri will take on the World Cup hosts at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence on March 1.
