Very similar to Skype except that this is by a local company and billing methods will be catered for the locals here. biggrin.gif

This app won't be full screen for iPads unless zoom in which will be pixelated right? hmm.gif

Tested this on my iPad 2 earlier with UniFi, the receiver keeps hearing my voice breaking. hmm.gif

Quite misleading for Yes to put an ad showing the iPad displays in full screen. sweat.gif

Right now it's an iPhone-optimised app but you can use it on an iPad in 1x or 2x view. An iPad-optimised 'HD' version is in the works and will come in the future smile.gif

I'll definitely be looking forward to the full screen version for iPad.

anyone know how does the reload works ? RM30 for 30 days or unlimited ? i might consider using it if unlimited is just 9sen per min quite good rate i guess ...

Yes 4G is prepaid based and it is similar to a pay-as-you-use service. Based on my recent calculations, RM30 is equivalent to about 1GB of data. Once you hit about 1GB, you will run out of credits and therefore you'll have to reload in order to continue using again.

However there's a value pack that Yes recently launched. The cheapest value pack is the RM68 pack where you will be given 3.5GB of data usage, quite worth it if you will use more than 1GB. biggrin.gif

A bit noob here. Not quite sure how this will work... If I keep my Yes I'd, how to make call on my phone? No need SIM card... must be in wifi area then oni can make call? Can use Yes with normal phone? Or must buy special 4G phone?
*
To make calls, either your iPad or iPod Touch must be connected to a WiFi service or if your iPad is the 3G version, as long you remain connected you can make calls via Yes Life. Otherwise, you will need their Yes 4G phone.

Tested it for 1 day.

Phone calls don't always come through to me. some of my sms'es also don't get through to the other person.

In my opinion, it's not good enough as a primary phone. It is stupid to pay RM 30 monthly for this service. YTL will be stupid to insist on a monthly commitment since it's a good service, just not good enough yet.

Well the iPad with Yes Life was never meant to act/replace as a primary phone. If really want to use Yes 4G as primary phone, better go for the Buzz device instead.
