Hello, just want to ask about the requirements to go into mmu's degree programme.

From mmu's website http://www.mmu.edu.my/index.php?req=5 it states that for international students they require to "Pass in A Levels/equivalent with 3 Credits inclusive of Mathematics".

So Im wondering how about local students who took A level. Can local students who took A levels be accepted into mmu's degree programme? And what does it mean with "3 Credits"? A levels passing grades are "A*, A, B, C, D, E, and U( means Ungraded/Fail ). So does the "Credits" means all the passing grades or just the C grade?

I've finished my A-levels studies last year and now I'm considering of going into IT field.

My preferred course and university at the moment is Software Engineering in MMU.

With my A levels results I probably could start the course at Degree level.

But I din't took any IT-related subjects in A-levels so I'm wondering whether it would be difficult to start studying software engineering at degree level as I lack the basic knowledges.

So, should I start at diploma level in IT and only after that I continue to degree level? Or it is all right for me to start studying software engineering at degree level?

Or is it okay either way? I thought that maybe this depends on my preference and not really a problem.

Anyone who are studying in IT field or have already graduated, please do share your experiences and opinions.

thank you.
