Can anyone recommend any trusted or known repair person around KL/Cheras/PJ area because i think my Galaxy S is totally Bricked and i can't seem to even boot it up now

Sigh, was just trying to do an upgrade and things got worst and worst.

Any recommendation?

I have just attempted to boot into Download mode again, i've successfully done so. What should i do next?

Apologies as i'm very new to Android world and this is the first attempt to flash the firmware. If you could provide some URLs which have step by step guides that would be great so that i won't make any mistake. There are too many guides out there in Google and i'm afraid of following the wrong one .

I'm trying to flash the phone. And i get this Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip (Status 7) Installation Aborted @_@


Refer to the attached photo for more information on the error message. Please advise how i should proceed ?

I was on Froyo 2.2 built. And it was very laggy and very high battery consumption.

What i read on several locations is to actually try to update it to Gingerbread 2.3.3 . Followed the steps provided and ended up with a problem whereby my phone gets stuck in the Samsung Galaxy I9000 loading screen and it never changed.

What i'm trying to do now is to try and reflash the entire firmware , and if possible wipe out all existing data so that i can re flash it from scratch. However upon attempting to do so i came into this error now /


Is this some problem with the Odin Pit file i used? But its the same as the one provided in the list in the post above.




@yuktsi14 : The files are different for the PDA,Phone and CSC as mine are DXJV9_OLBJV9_Sbl . Is this a problem?

When i switched on the phone i get stucked in the Samsung Galaxy-S I9000 screen and nothing changes.

Now when i do the upgrade to DXJV9 i get the rts error .

Anyone can share where can i obtain 513.pit file?Its not bundled in the DXJV9 with Bootloader file i downloaded

Flash back to Froyo? Then Flash CM7? Any guides on these ? hehehe

I see, which is why someone suggested going back to Froyo then only using custom ROM am i correct?
