Isn't that a 30 day trial version and not technically a 'forever free' version? Anyway, I've always trusted Titanium Backup Pro, on my Tab and my SGS smile.gif

bro, how to back-up efs using titanium backup?

Err, I use Titanium to backup apps (apk+data). For EFS, currently am using Root Explorer (paid app, bloody useful!) to copy the /efs folder to my sdcard (and then another copy over to my PC via mass storage mode). You can only access the EFS folder if your phone is rooted.

I am not sure how to backup the EFS using Titanium Backup, sorry.
*
oh ok. yeah maybe i just misunderstood.
so we can just copy n paste the /efs right?
i did that, but the folder content is empty..or is it hidden?
i only use the free version of root explorer-equilvalent-app, so not quite sure whether the /efs is really copied or not wink.gif

Ha, can just copy and paste, as long as your phone is rooted and your file manager app has root support. Otherwise cannot, I think. Should have a number of files and folders inside the /efs folder.
*
im trying ES..the /efs is empty,non readable..
erm when i check with superuser, only lists titanium & ROM manager, meaning the ES is not root enabled?
how do i enable root support on it?

Not sure if ES File Explorer has root features. Normally when an app has or needs root features, when you launch the app, SuperUser will prompt you to allow or disallow root access. My guess is ES doesn't have root functionality.

You may want to give SGS Tools a try..
Our resident guru had also mentioned SGS Tools way back in thread v14.
And the same info is on the first page of this thread, again by our resident guru.. smile.gif

follow instructions for flashing GB on first page. if not you can check the comments on xda. i followed the instructions and did not face any issues. once you try and get it, flashing will be very easy
*
this one?

Flashing XXJVH
XXJVH is the latest and probably the best of all. For beginners, this is the best firmware to try.
Procedure
1. Flash to EZBase 3.0 first EZBase 3.0
2. Use Doc's Online Kitchen to generate an XXJVH rom: http://romkitchen.org/beta/?s=generator
- Use WIPE version
- Use preferably FuguMod kernel
- Modem selection does not matter
- Apps: Your choice
- Click generate and transfer it into your sdcard
3. Flash it through CWM

but this one using romkitchen's..
for stock rom, still need to flash to ezbase?

very nice ui indeed. only that it is very basic.  I'm sure more featured will be added.
ezbase 2.0 won't work because you need gb bootloader.

if ezbase 3.0 doesn't work,  you have to use any stock gb rom, then flash jvh kernel.  finally apply the insanity 8.5 zip file
cannot use ezbase 2.0 to go to insanity 8.5. you'll run into problems. I thought I've guided you in a couple pages back?

ezbase 3.0/stock gb > jvh kernel > insanity 8.5

can i use jvo kernel for nightly?

see first page for alternative browser. in addition to that, try boat browser mini as well. opera mobile OTOH is highly recommended
*
opera way of browsing fb is not so nice..when you click 'see more stories', it will expand the page, not taking you to 2nd page like stndard browser..

or am i missing any setting to disable this?

other then that, this is my fav browser thumbup.gif
