wow, till now u're still dealing with tat prob? sweat.gif
*
Why? Why? Gingerbread doesn't want to be with me!!

I tried flashing to DXJV9, then wanna factory reset and the password lockscreen shows up! So reboot instead, but stuck in bootloop. reflash JVK=>fail (same problem), JVH ==> fail (same problem).

Now I flash back to stock Froyo. Working now.. doh.gif

something to do with sim card? did u set password for ur phone normally?

*
No password on phone. Last time flashed JVH I even take out the SIM card but still happens.

I am gonna give Gingerbread one more try, if this screenlock problem persists, then CM7 will be next in line... laugh.gif

One question. I flashed JV9 with bootloader (Gingerbread) then flashed to JPE (Froyo), is that mean my bootloader is still in Gingerbread?

Anyone tested Tektrak from Samsung App store?

QUOTE(nasrulbond @ Jun 5 2011, 01:49 PM)
well, if you dont get the screen corruption, that means you okay. and did your JPE file got the sbl.bin during flashing? then you're back to froyo bootloader, if not maybe its still on GB boot loader.
*
I guess that means I am still on Gingerbread bootloader. wink.gif

if u did not tick "Phone bootloader update" when you were flashing gingerbread, then ur still on froyo bootloader.
*
I just follow Ramad's instructions then. It was not needed to tick "phone bootloader update" as the PDA file comes with sbl.

I use Friendcaster. No problem with the push notification. Much better than the facebook app. The widget looks better too...

friendcaster uses push? i thought polling?  hmm.gif cause didn't see them stating push under App Description..
*
Mistaken, Friendcaster uses polling. I set to 15min refresh interval, feels like push updates. tongue.gif

Strangely, I don't experience any battery drain even my refresh intervals is 15min. That is why I didn't notice much difference. hmm.gif

If what we saw at Google I/O is any indication, Android’s next version will make iOS 5 look like a Fisher-Price OS. under PC-Freedom section...

I posted the above yesterday regarding my phone consuming like 18% while on standby "airplane Mode".

Last night before I went to sleep I check I have 69% and this morning I wake up it got 68% left so only 1% used in 9 hrs..  That is more like it.  Same Darky V10.1 firmware.

One other thing I notice is that LauncherPro is not very stable as it is causing a lot of hang and crash so I have switch to GoLauncher and so far no problem with hang or crash yet.  In fact I like GoLauncher more as it has some iOS feel to it like the wiggly mode where I can rearrange my icon.

The other problem I need to solve is the GPS now.  Do i need internet connection to speed up the GPS lock?  I have no luck getting my GPS to work since I move to GB.  Btw, I do not have internet or 3G where I am now so I cannot try it out.
*
Time to ditch Darky ROM. My friend on Darky also havings lots of problems.

awww...a 7 hours slp drain up my 60% of battery..what is happening?
i see whole bar of green color at phone signal for the whole night..omg!
i'm in official GB..aiks..never happened like this in last time stock froyo..

QUOTE(lightning69 @ Jun 7 2011, 12:00 PM)
I don't think the Cell Standby problem is not with Darky only.  I was on Juwe Smart Edition first and the same Cell Standby battery drain is there.
*
I thought this cell standby drain problem in GB is caused by the "software update" which can be solved by deleting/freezing/rename of the 3 apks files inside /system/app folder? New one?

Is this where you download the Deodexed stock DXJV9?
Link

What is this first part do?
1: You need to have a copy of the files on /efs partition of the device, to do so then your device must be rooted, have busybox installed and have ADB installed on your PC, then execute the following in Command prompt:

cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/platform-tools (Use cd c:/your_ADB_directory_name/tools if you are using an older ADK versions)
        adb shell
        su
        cp -r /efs /sdcard/efs
        exit
        exit

Move the copy of the efs folder from the internal sdcard to your PC and keep it safe, you never know when flashing, do it now if you haven't done that yet.

*
That is the ADB way of backing up your efs folder (efs folder stores your IMEI information). There are other simpler ways to get this done, by using SGS Tools or just simply copy and paste using root explorer.
