I would say Samsung did hear the community and polished the SGS2. Even the dev on XDA did not know what to tweak on this phone yet. I miss Voodoo sound 

Anyway, I will still be in this thread coz my dad has SGS, so need to be up to date with SGS info, dunno what  he will ask in the future.

Yup, you're really stuck on that file. Mind sharing on which site you downloaded the file and which version do you intend to flash?

what you mean by cant make it without data? i can use it with wifi or 3g, fring also can be use and the latest qik video, all this i have try with wifi

aaahh the charges.....well yeah you will be charge with internet and not video calls,
actually arent 3G calls still need 3G, if not then you could make the video call anywhere.

Any idea? Even when I off the phone, and put in charger usually the battery icon will come out, but this time the "Confirm Password" page comes out.

I flashed the one without bootloaders, without pit 512, it didn't work, keep on bootlooping. So I flashed again with 512pit and re-partition checked, upon complete and reboot it stuck at this "confirm password" page. My previous ROM is XXJVK, no custom kernel installed.

I downloaded from Androidsoul and samfirmware. Tried both and still give me the "confirm password" screen. Decided to go to Samsung Service Center tomorrow. Anyone knows where is the address?

PS: I wonder can I straight away flash CF-kernel?

Just realised my SGS is Singapore set. If i send to Msia service center. Would they able to help me?

OMg got no choice then so need to send to normal fon shop for repair then. Any forumer could suggest reliable shop for me? BTW im in Ipoh

Currently on simply honey 3.3 gingerbread jvb.
The battery drain issue drive me crazy.
Tried to delete the 3 apk file and pull out battery for 1 minute and the problem still here.
Now trying to flash juwe's rom jvh and see any improvement =D

1st im trying to flash EZbase 3.0 as on post#4. But get stuck for 4 hours at factoryrs.rfs.
Then try to pulling out battery put it back. Cant turn on phone. But after few hours. Manage to put into download mode.

After hours pull out battery again. Dang! cant turn on phone up until now.

flashing CF-Root to get CWM. luckily managed to enter download mode. phewwww

u bet it is!! but u shld kno it's only for Tegra rite   if u wanna play on SGS, do some google-ing

and to tell u too... so far gameloft's games work like how it is on Froyo except Nova

why press volume down + home key + power button very hard to get the download mode.try so many times but 1 times only successful.ord flash kernel.so need to install lagfix?which rom is good for froyo 2.2?
