ya. didnt flash anything. just now i try "learn" things in auto killer advance setting. then simply tick a few things then my phone keep bootlooping. so i try nandroid restore,FAIL! (dont know what happen) then i try factory reset. then missing baseband LOL. can i flash using odin only put phone.tar and flash?

my boot animation sound is missing. i'm on deodexed JVH. missing after flashing CWM. also happens when i root odexed JVH.

no. you don't need docs rom. these are possible routes:
1. leaked 2.3.3 rom > gb speedmod kernel or cf root > apply insanity 8.5

2. ezbase 3.0 > gb speedmod kernel or cf root > insanity 8.5

- ezbase 3.0 or stock gb rom is important because it contains the gb bootloader needed to prevent screen corruption

- insanity 8.5 only works if you have jvh kernel prior to this. thats what i read in the forum.

- after custom jvh kernel is installed, you'll get cwm in recovery mode. this allows you to flash the insanity zip file.

well, if the modem file, zimage I believe, is not in the phone.tar file, you'll get a missing baseband!

nandroid restore shouldn't fail though. I don't know about that.

did you flashed cfroot kernel? maybe boot animation sound depends on the kernel. if that's the case, you won't get the sound when cfroot doesn't support it.

rooting will not affect boot animation sound.

then you have three options:
1. just use that voodoo jvh kernel. check if it gb rom is not a prerequisite.

2. use cf root kernel instead. check if it gb rom is not a prerequisite.

3. simply flash a jvh rom like leaked jvh or deodexed jvh rom by ramad. then flash any jvh kernel to get cwm. finally flash insanity 8.5

I took a risk and flashed supercurio's JVH rom. Now it's converting my partition to ext4.

I thought it's gonna be an option in CWM menu. lol.

Nvm, at least I'm in ext4, but I need to know if I have to go back to rfs if I flash insanity 8.5.

anyone know how to change the logs setting? when i send msg to people my log will show that i sent the message to the particular guy, how can i change that to not show who i send to?

I think almost all custom rom are smart enough to see what filesystem (rfs/ext4) is in your rom prior to flashing the zip. no need to go back to rfs (aka disable lagfix). you should be fine.

Voodoo JVH keeps making my phone plays the Samsung start up animation after entering into Android for about 20 seconds.
Not sure if it was caused by Media Scanning completion. Was my int SD got error blocks?

EDIT: I am officially INSANE dy! But the default DPI settings is quite .

Previously I have played with DPI setting back in FroYo. It screwed up some of my game's display, and even some apps affected. This 1, wah lau, defaulted like this. Habis la, if I gonna use those apps that will be affected if change DPI.

EDIT2: first run on Nitrality already kena FC.

I think I am better off going back to stock GB.

the reason why ezbase is recommended is because it will really clean up your phone from previous rom. remember a lot of people used to get problems flashing to another rom from darkyy.

dun know why but all the gameloft data, it is stored in my internal SD card...when i put it in my external SD, it wont detect....

I kena this once or twice before, bootloop like crazy. Easy fix, boot to CWM then use ADB shell commands to delete the autokiller apk from the phone so that it will not start at boot again.

guys, another question. i use quadrant standard to do some test, and when i check my phone details it says that my phone's processor is ARMv7 rev2.
i thought that this phone was using ARM Cortex A8? or was the ARMv7 is actually ARM Cortex A8?
