I would like to find out whether it is allowed to extend a 2 storey house to the back (kitchen and rooms on 2nd floor) and make a RC rooftop for the extended portion. I would like to use the area for drying laundry. The house is 22x75 intermediate, I have seen similar extension and I think just lack drying area. The house is in KL under DBKL.

How much do you think this will cost, if allowed by DBKL? (RC, hacking, wet work, tile, wiring, piping) Exclude tiles cost.

what i understand from your statement is, you want to build a RC rooftop at the back for drying laundry but kitchen and 2nd floor rooms still remain the same, right?

Let me take a photo of the neighbour who did this and talk to him how this was done. It was a 1 1/2 storey house which he renovated to 2.5 storey with the RC flat roof.
