QUOTE(zheilwane @ May 10 2011, 03:22 PM) kitchen and basin is different bcoz ur kitchen sink is same level with ur table while ur counter top basin is above ur table. According to ur height is after taking into account of ur basin. If u r using vanity basin den ur table is higher, counter top table is lower. For me, i would prefer 31" for table after adding the basin of 7" it would be 38", my height is 170mm. 38'' will be ok? I also 173 cm but my wife only around 155 cm...

Thanks zheilwane..I did google all the information but I still afraid I am wrong..So, I would like to ask here to give me confidence...my contractor did my table at 31" and after put the basin will be 38"..same as what you have said...I afraid it will be too high...because this is my first time experience with counter-top type basin...Below is my opinion...
Everyone know that the standard height of table is around 31" to 33"..So, when talking about putting a counter-top type basin (Vessel sink), a lot of people will think to lower down the table (offset the height of the basin) and get the final height of 31" to 33" when the basin is put on the table..with the table height of 26" (after offset 7"), i feel the table quite low...
but, why we need to buy counter-top type basin when it is no different with other type of basins? prettier? more modern? anyway, we still need to bend our back when brushing teeth or washing face...
So, I agreed that counter-top type basin should sit higher than other type basins so that we don't need to bend our back when brushing teeth or washing face...but this theory won't work for kid...that's why I only buy counter-top basin for master bathroom...
