Hi all,

I'm driving a Vios G spec, and am considering to change the tyres (wear out d).

Can anyone suggest me a set of good tyres? I'm always on the road, and many of the times I drive long distance.

My budget will be around RM200 (or slightly, not too much more) per tyre.

Thanks!

what is your driving style / preference?
since you always on the road, standard choice is continental comfort 5 or yokohama a.drive which is more of a comfort and less noise.
if you're really on budget, there are achilles atr sports with 400 tread wear rating.
as usual, for comfort tires, there are some compromise in performance but their tread usually rated higher than those of performance orientated tires.

Well I do drive fast sometimes...but of course, there's only so much speed a Vios can handle, I just want something safe that gives me good grip in all conditions.
I realised quite some body rolling when making corner (or highway exits which you have to make a big big big circle), so is it because the car is built like this, or can the tyre help it?

PS is RM200+- considered cheap for a tyre? Sorry this is my first time changing tyre LOL

Thanks so much!

Get PS3. For 15 inch it is still affordable compared to 16 and 17 inch. You'll regret not getting it when the price is hike again. Tyre prices will only go up and up and up and up. You might not afford it anymore in the future so get it now.

What is the price for a piece of PS3?
Thanks!

are you on stock 185 width tires? if so, increasing it to 195 with 55 profile or even 205/45/16 might help.
check out tires conversion calculator in my 1st post.
also, changing to better suspension will definitely improves the handling. as usual, you can't have both so,
choose either handling or comfort.
btw, depend on your size, but 200 bucks is quite on the cheap side.
you could up your budget and try ps3. 15" is about 250 each or so.

I'm currently on 185/60/15, your suggestion is 195/55/15? I don't really mind the price, hopefully it'll be within 1k if I change all 4 tho.
Any shop to recommend? I'm fine with shops along LDP, from Kepong down to Subang is all convenient to me.
Thanks!
