is it advisable to use 185/55/R15 on a 15x6.5" rim (Saga BLM)

I prefer 185 section for better steering feel, but afraid the tyre contact patch is too stretched on a 6.5" rim width. Michelin PS3 btw, and the site said that can use rim width up to 6.5.
