Hi guys. Want some of your advice and opinions.
My front tires already worn out and my rear tire still good. Stock tires are Silverstone ns500 Kruizer. Can I change only the front tires as I am currently on a very tight budget. If so, any recommendations for 195/60 R15?

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Oct 30 2012, 06:16 PM) Yes you can change only the front tyres if the rear are still okay. But you must change both the front tyres, i.e. 1 pair / 2 front tyres.
However, note that most tyre websites recommend that the new tyres at the rear but most tyre shops will recommend that the new tyres go in front.
Recommendation - Budget is Silverstone. A bit higher, you can consider Conti Comfort Contact 5. So, I can run different types of brand/tread between front and rear?

QUOTE(cfa28 @ Oct 31 2012, 07:46 AM) Yes, you can. But you should use the same type of tyres, i.e. Comfort Based and Comfort Based. I have used Goodyear NCT5 at the back and Conti CC5 in the front. I see. Thanks for the heads up. But been reading articles said it is not recommended to use different brands between them. Is there any downside applying it? Plus, can reccommend tyres that are compatible with Silverstone NS500? This post has been edited by jayro_88: Oct 31 2012, 11:43 AM

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Mar 5 2013, 04:19 AM) how tight? got an actual price? if really tight, stick with basic tires. no choice anyways Maybe around RM 200 - RM 230 per tyre. I saw CC5 is in my budget. Can anyone recommend me others?

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Mar 5 2013, 10:47 AM) yokohama c drive 2 if you dont mind the shorter treadwear. im using 195/60/15 for around rm220-230 per tire on the nissan sentra, 55 profile on the iswara I might go for longer tire treadwear. at least can hold on longer. Means CC5 have better treadwear than Yokohama?
