Hi all sifus,

Generally how long a tyre should last? Do we measure by years, or by mileage?

My Dunlop 175/70R13 have been in use for 3 yrs and about 50k KM, and looks like it's about time to change - is it reasonable?

A tyre shop told me if we rajin do alignment after every 10k, some tyres can last even up to 80k or above - is he bluffing?

thx.....

no exact answer, depend on your driving style.

if u unker drive might can last until 80k with durable tyre.

like my case, 30k my cc5 reached wear indicator  sad.gif

mine already near to 30k.. but alignment run away and cause both side of tyre botak. Other is just nice.

May i ask how much alignment cost normally?

normally they charge rm20 for wira (per car) - it seems car model/size affects the $. if you read some more here or in here http://forum.autoworld.com.my/index.php?showforum=61, there are shops that charge more but people still go because reportedly the quality is really good - i have no clue, never tried.

30k without doing alignment might be bad for the lifespan...
