Hey, question about ecopia ep200. Anybody used it? The thread seems to be one sided so if it's on left and right both sides won't be pointing the same direction right ?

Hi, any feedback for Hankook Ventus S1 Noble 2? After some google, found this tires are more on comfort and low noise, this is suit for my often long distance drive, plan to change my 4 years old Michelin PS3 215/45R17 to 225/45R17 soon.

It is slightly quieter than my previous UHP tyre. It has a soft sidewall, so I have to increase the tyre pressure compensate. This makes it more comfortable over bumps, stripes or rough patches, but not by alot. Threadwear is normal, after going for about 38,000 km so far, with all kinds of aggressive driving styles. Grip is actually not bad considering it's a comfort-biased tyre. However, considering my driving style, my next tyre would be UHP again, maybe PS3 or RE003, or maybe try Advan DB for it's stiffer sidewall. |

Traction AA = same as RE003 uni-directional thread. Soft on bumps and roads like RE003. great grip on dry and wet, your steering response is great. confident to tackle corner. a bit more on the quiet side than RE003 price is cheaper than RE003 |

QUOTE(fix24311 @ Apr 8 2016, 01:00 AM) i have new challenger for RE003 now, Hankook Ventus V2 Concept You already changed to that Ventus V2? RE003 traction rating is only A. Ventus V2 Concept is actually just mid range performance tire so lower class than RE003. The ones on par with RE003 are actually the V12 Evo 2 and S1 Evo 2.500 threadwear rating, more than half than RE003. Traction AA = same as RE003 uni-directional thread. Soft on bumps and roads like RE003. great grip on dry and wet, your steering response is great. confident to tackle corner. a bit more on the quiet side than RE003 price is cheaper than RE003 QUOTE(fix24311 @ Apr 8 2016, 01:01 AM) Well it depends on the condition, that's why need to monitor if already got excessive cracks especially on the sidewall. |

RE003 ratings are 220 tread wear, A traction, A temp. These ratings actually also not really representative of mid or UHP or max performance. The traction rating is actually more for wet traction. Most Bridgestone tires are only A traction also, even the expensive high performance ones. |

Personally I've tried ps3, I still think it's an overhype tyre.
It's good when new, like shit after 50% wear off (noisy and wear unevenly), worse is the surface tend to chip off. The chip off issue also happen to my bro in law car with different size ps3. So I think its this tyre behaviours. Anyway, it's just my personal opinion on it. |
