I think you can try Lim Tayar(Parallel imported,i think can get ZII* there as well)
AFAIK,Bridgestone Malaysia never bring in RE11/A
*
any idea whats the price range of those?? cheaper than ad08r or more expensive? i mean the z2 star spec and re11a or bridgestone equivalent

Historically RE11=AD08 price but AD08R cheaper so Bridgestone probably cost more
ZII* i see lim tayar when it advertised on mudah was cheaper(Last year i think),now not sure

205/45/17 is the closest size to stock rolling diameter
Stock is 185/55/16
You would need a 7J x 17 wheel,probably something in 35~45 offset range
netsum what is the recommended offset for 7Jx17 city fitment??
If you intend to change wheel, best is fit your car with lowering spring or coilover so it look proper(There is a limit of how low you can go,dictated by you roll center if you care about handling at all)

For 17, Goodyear Asym 2 is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best currently out there. The price is also valued.

Nexen wise, N8000 is cheaper but it is not where near GYA2, but it isn't a bad tire either, it is close to PS3 just slightly lose out in wet, but all in all the price is lower.

I think you mean Goodyear Excellence.

It is a general all around tire, while many people would say XM2 is better, I found Excellence more towards my taste because it has more feedback, being a general tire but with a treadwear rating of 240 though.

I have driven many Excellence, all of them are stock tire of the car (My sist's City, my mom's C200, my friend's Accord 2.0). XM2 on the other hand, I wouldn't say it's bad, but maybe I had bad luck with them, they degrade and dried out fast even for daily driven car (Kembara, and another 04 City).

But then Excellence price isn't that far from N8000, or even within Goodyear itself the Asymmetric 2, so it depends whether you want max performance or what.

Well if I can stop nicely and confidently on a C200, I don't think that claim is true smile.gif, but well things are subjective.

You still can get other brand like Hankook or Yokohama Db.

Hello hello sifus,

I am currently using Conti MC5 and it is nearing its life cycle. Any recommendations for a set of new shoes that is leaning towards comfort (silent as well) than spirited driving, and have good treadwear and reasonably priced? 225/50/17 is the size I am looking for. Thanks in advance.

Or if there is a brand that can offer good spirited driving but still reasonably comfortable and quiet, and priced I will consider also.

On other note, is there a difference between Pirelli Thai-made and China-made?
