It depends, mostly jb required if you are using non-standard vpn such as openvpn based servers.

Bolehvpn is really good..I've used them and have had no problem with them. Happy to see them opening up for the iOS devices.

Once you are connected to our US server, open your safari and check what is your ip address. Visit whatismyip.com.
If it didn't show our US IP then you are not connected.

Works like a charm

googled but dont understand, hope sifus here can concur or not.

Some of the benefits of using VPN:
1. Connecting to the internet using public wifi will be protected from public intrusions. With the right tools e person next to you can actually see what you are transmitting or surfing during that time. If your connection is https then you are protected but they will be able to see where you are connecting to. With VPN, no one, including the authorities can see where you are surfing to.
2. You can visit websites that are blocked for whatever reasons by the ISP
3. You can visit websites which limit access to countries specific IP such as hulu plus, netflix, pandora, CBS, ABC, youtube, itunes stores, android market, etc..
4. You can bypass firewall restrictions or throttling put in place by your organization
5. Security and Privacy is assured when communicating via internet

We will be adding servers in UK, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong once everything is in place. UK will be online before end of the month.
