QUOTE(demio121 @ May 10 2011, 10:34 AM)
we have a mathematical chance of CL though its slim.  ManC have to sleep the their nex 3 matches and we win our last 2.  Finishing 5th is just a matter of pride for me.  Europa is a distraction.

I rather we sit out europe nex season and concentrate with the momentum we have now.  Travelling mid week to far and away country risking injury for Europa??? not very tempting ler.

the only thing in my mind is we keep winning and hopefully we make 4th.... and also how the Warrior kit will look like next season.
*
Maybe Europa will be a platform for the second stringers, who knows, Sterling, Suso, Pacheco, Coady may emerge in the competition rclxms.gif
Next season still adidas, think the season after next will be Warrior

QUOTE(Duke Red @ May 10 2011, 02:25 PM)
I certainly hope he gets a permanent deal. Problem is he wants full control over transfers and I can understand the logic behind it but we've got Damien Comolli looking after that now. Too many chefs?

*
Its the same with RB ain't it. Come to think of it, most managers would've want full control over transfers since its their neck that's on the line if the transfers/results don't turn up well. Esp so for British manager, where it isn't a norm to have the Director of Football as a watchdog. More so Kenny, an old school manager in a time there's no such nonsense as DoF & managers have ultimate say in every team decisions.

Has Kuyt ever missed a penalty kick for us? He's not our regular penalty taker is he?
*
never. he scored all 8 penos for us & he's second choice peno taker. Wonder why not let him take it from now. Stevie missed a fair bits

i wonder why. his achievement should got him knighted. by the way, since i'm not a Liverpool fan, did Mr. Bill Shankly have the title Sir?
*
Both no. Surprising isnt it. There's been ppl championing Uncle Bob knighthood but Blair said that they cant be knighted post posthumously.

Well, Lim Teong Kim coaches at bayern Munich, so nationality surely takes a back seat to ability and talent.
A quci look at his wiki reveals that he has played for Hertha Berlin  blink.gif  Wow, dinnae know that... flew right under the radar too, no hype in the local papers when he did?
*
Back then Hertha BErlin is in 2nd Division, though a great achievement nevertheless as he's playing regularly.
The paper did report, else I wouldn't know, but in small little space which if you don't look hard enuff, you'll miss it. tongue.gif

January window selling club hold all the aces hence the rejection of 10 mil GBP and the inflated price quoted then. 7 mil will be more of a fair value, now with them relegated, most of their aces gone though they can still play hardball.

Charlie Adam: I want to stay in the Premier League

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...-league?cc=4716
Indirect translation: Liverpool, come and get me..
*
Dont think he's that insistent that it had to be Reds since he has no qualm going to spurs during the jan window.
so the indirect translation more likely : Any top 10 EPL club please come get me tongue.gif

QUOTE(Yuka Yuka @ Jun 8 2011, 09:17 AM)
wake up in the morning check walkon.com

jordan henderson for 20m @@

im already stumped with the 35m we paid for carroll. 20m for henderson now. wtf am i reading mannnnnnnnnnnnn

what i'm reading is we'll wrap up the 15m Jones deal now, and then we'll go for Charlie Adam for I dunno... 10m? by far the most sensible deal we're doing  cry.gif

i think it's bye bye Poulsen Aquilani and to a further extent... maybe mereiles... lucas just signed a new contract I doubt he'll be shipped out this soon
*
Seems the north east teams like to screw us on the transfer fees for their academy players. sweat.gif
Wonder when can we produce 1 that worth 20mil. Guthrie was sold for pittance compare to those 2.

QUOTE(aressandro10 @ Jun 8 2011, 09:38 AM)
hahaha.. i also remember a gossip at one time, Alex Ferguson was a couple of defeats away from managing Pahang..tongue.gif
*
laugh.gif really...can seem to recall, just knew Rocastle, Cottee & David Mitchell

QUOTE(electron @ Jun 8 2011, 09:59 AM)
13m+ngog is still ok considering henderson is a young british player
20m+ngog is a bit crazy and make alonso looked like from the bargain bin
*
+1. Still cant fathom why those so called Madrista said then the 30mil for Alonso is too much. But now all of them said he's the most vital component in the team & priceless. See how fast their view turns shakehead.gif

QUOTE(rushmode @ Jun 8 2011, 10:18 AM)
for a club that did not involve in any Euro competition next season.. we seems to spend like kings. John Henry and FSG surely not all talk.

honestly, i dont know jack about this guy. If this deal is done, good luck to Ngog. never whines and give his all when played. YNWA
*
Thats rite, for a club thats not in Europe, its seems like a shopping spree to Harrods. Though would like to highlight that none of the names linked are household established players.
Dunno Henderson as well, but if Kenny thinks he's worth the plumb, who are we to argue? Afterall Kenny did sign many legends of the clubs, including a northeast one

it's funny in a sense that, should Liverpool pay 20 MILLION in cash for henderson I'd be fidgeting nervously and wondering why havent we gone for Juan Mata instead

now that news broke out it's 13million cash AND 7m-rated Ngog, I feel so much better. Funny how FSG managed to convince the Black Cats Ngog is worth even 7million lol. This went from a potentially bad deal to a VERY good deal hahaha
*
actually of given time & chance to develop at a conducive club, Ngog might just be worth more than 7mil. Seeing how he held his own when he was pitch in on & off, he'll be more than a decent striker.
Though for now, he defo not worth that

QUOTE(murishige @ Jun 10 2011, 11:27 AM)
I watched honda played for japan many many times. I think he's not that good. He's kinda slow, not just his pace but also his movement and reaction. The only positives that I can think of is that he is strong build and during the world cup, he did play as a target man in 4-5-1 formation that was revised during the tournament by the then Japan's head coach, Okada. Another 1 is he can clearly increase LFC supporter in Japan. Japanese prefer to watch Spanish Primera Liga and Bundesliga over BPL. Next season Arsenal will have a Japanese in their squad; Ryo Myaichi. Maybe we should look to exploit the potential here, there are many other good Japanese players not just Honda. Shinji Kagawa(Dortmund), Nagatomo(Inter), Uchida(Schalke) to think of. Just my ¥2..
btw, Jordan Henderson, welcome to LFC..the first of many summer signings!
*
from my casual observation, also thinks his movement is slow though he got some technical skill.
Personally, I like the looks of Kagawa, too bad he fancy the devils shakehead.gif
Me thinks our scouting networks in Asia is a bit left out, since there's pretty good potentials in Japan & korea that we just did not spot. Eg Usami (cant rmb the name) a 19 yr old which Bayern try to sign now.
