I watched honda played for japan many many times. I think he's not that good. He's kinda slow, not just his pace but also his movement and reaction. The only positives that I can think of is that he is strong build and during the world cup, he did play as a target man in 4-5-1 formation that was revised during the tournament by the then Japan's head coach, Okada. Another 1 is he can clearly increase LFC supporter in Japan. Japanese prefer to watch Spanish Primera Liga and Bundesliga over BPL. Next season Arsenal will have a Japanese in their squad; Ryo Myaichi. Maybe we should look to exploit the potential here, there are many other good Japanese players not just Honda. Shinji Kagawa(Dortmund), Nagatomo(Inter), Uchida(Schalke) to think of. Just my ￥2..
