Hi Guys,

I'm looking for a 13/14" laptop for word processing, some minor photoshop (not often), and fb game.

Anything that is thin, light, long battery hours, and not more than RM2K to recommend? Thanks!

Hi,

Just want to ask again, is Dell Inspiron 14 fits my budget very well. I only need for microsoft office and email. The specs is as below

Intel® Core™ i3-380M Processor (2.53Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
2GB (1 X 2GB) 1 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz
500GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
14" (35.6cm) HD WLED True-Life (1366x768)
Intel® HD Graphics
DVD+/-RW Optical Drive(Win7 Home Premium)
Dell Wireless 1501 802.11b/g/n Half Mini Card (MY)
McAfee® Security Center™ (Multi-Language) - 15 Months Version
2.2AHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Battery
1Yr Ltd Hardware Warranty, InHome Service after Remote Diagnosis

Its selling RM1700 now, is it worth it? Price and weight (2.2kg) is ok with me, just not sure its responsive enough for multiple excels work sheets with macro.

Thanks for the advice.

My budget is below 2K, obviously the cheaper the better. This laptop is mainly for work hence I need a responsive system to cater for Microsoft office only. Mobility and battery power is important too.

I would like to go for Acer TimelineX but I guess the specs is just way over kill.

Yes, enough  nod.gif
Do take note that it comes with Linux (according to your specs). I don't have this model in the pricelist lol  laugh.gif

I have a genuine windows 7 home license (unused) at home. How much do i have to pay to bump the ram up to 4GB?

To another question, is it worth to purchase a 2nd hand 2011 13" Macbook Pro for RM3K? Love using it, the performance, mobility, and battery suits me very well. However the apps is freaking expensive.

The price of a regular DDR3-1333Mhz RAM is around RM118. If you're okay with downloading and installing the drivers by yourself, then I guess its worth it  nod.gif

Hmmm, 3k for a MBP? Might as well just buy a new one lol.... I'm more worried about warranty coverage for 2nd hand Macs.... cause repairs will burn your pocket like no one's business!  laugh.gif

Thanks for the advice!

A new one cost RM600 more...so i guess a few months old MBP shldnt hv much problems right?
