Hello!! I wanna buy a cheap laptop between the range of 1.6-1.7k.. Is it possible for me to get Core I3 with 4 gb ram?
*
Yes, there is, but most are FreeDOS... if you want those with OS, then perhaps a RM1.9k budget would be better hmm.gif

The HP Pavilion Dv4 has 2 variants:
Pavilion Dv4, i5-2410M + AMD HD6750@RM2899
Pavilion Dv4, i7-2620M + AMD HD6750@RM3599

Both satisfy the "at least Core i5" criterion, summore they are Sandy Bridge processors laugh.gif

Basically its:
GTX > GTS > GT

Do take note that many a times brochures often mis-print GT with GTS nod.gif

You're going to have to browse through Lowyat plaza or Digital mall to find one. The probability of finding one is higher in LYP.
For Garage Sales, here are 2 threads selling the i7 Dv4:

thinking of buying a laptop with a budget of 2.3 k and below,
i have narrowed down to 2 choices-

Acer 4750G
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

VS

Toshiba Sattelite L645

Weight: 2 kg, 200 grams
CPU Speed : Intel i5-480M Processor (2.66GHz, 3MB L2 Cache)
Screen Size : 14.0'
Graphics Type : ATI 5650 1GB DDR3
Memory : 2GBB DDR3
Hard Drive Capacity : 500GB SATA HDD
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Warranty : 1 Year Warranty
Price : RM2299

Which one is better in terms of speed and graphics?
*
CPU: Acer > Toshiba
GPU: Toshiba > Acer.. (But do take note that the ATI 5650 in Toshs are downclocked)
With your budget, you might want to consider something else like the Dell Inspiron 14R/Asus A43Sv hmm.gif
Or top up to RM2.5k for even better alternatives nod.gif

Satellite L745-1049U, i3-2310M + Intel HD3000@RM2099, 2 years warranty (1st year global)

Looking for something that is lighter cuz i often carry it around. 2.8 kg is a little at the heavy side..
I prefer the acer more because of the Specs and freebies...
Is Acer very problematic?  blink.gif
*
Laptops of the Aspire series are budget line and are comparatively lower in terms of quality compared to TimelineX... but since the laptop is covered by 3 years warranty, then I would say its worth it nod.gif

If you ask me, I would recommend saving more money, to go for the better N43SL, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M@RM2599[Bang & Olufsen] instead nod.gif
