i got very-vey bad experienced with nvidia GPU chip overheating on laptop and walla, laptop cannot start (it happened on my COMPAQ, and HP laptop )

so i am wondering if the new Nvidia GPU still has that issue, high temp, overheat etc  or it has been solved ? Any one here come across any issue with their 2nd gen i5 with Nvidia GPU ?

my choice :

Toshiba L645, intel i5 480M, 4gb ddr3, Ati Radeon 5650 (1gb) @ 2299

or

Toshiba L755, intel i5 2410M, 4gb ddr3, Nvidia GT525M (1gb) @ 2599

Its selling RM1700 now, is it worth it? Price and weight (2.2kg) is ok with me, just not sure its responsive enough for multiple excels work sheets with macro.

Between HP Pavillion dv4-3106tx and Lenovo Y470, which has a better battery life?

I know from the spec, Y470 is better with the i7 processor while in terms of GPU, both are similar....wat else do i need to take note of??

but so far the laptop performance is good, and haven't had any heat issues.. i'll post some photos soon.. 

and i want to ask is there anyone know how to make partition without formatting the hdd??

ahhh... i've done that earlier but the problem is my hdd has 580GB free space.. so i'm planning to make it 120GB and 460GB but during the process i can only split it even to 290GB each.. cant shrink the volume anymore.. because i don't really need that much hdd space in the main drive C:

looks like gparted has some problem with it. looks scary for me. which one is better? using these software we don't need to format the hdd rite?? scared of losing my data.

Hi, I wanna buy a new laptop for both gaming and work use.. but dunno what to get yet.
I'm not a heavy gamer but at least can play games which requires graphic card properly, most time I'll need it for programming and a bit Photoshop.

budget is lower than 2500 and I don't want any Acer model. any recommendation? if possible shops in LYP which has good service, dun want to be cheated.

For Photoshop (even for hardcore) a GPU isn't really crucial too
