I am not sure...
somethings that i going to learn -> Java, MySQL, MS Office, HTML & JavaScript and XML, PHP...
limited budget  cry.gif
is that any laptop with i7 processor has price below rm2500?
*
mysql, html, javascript, xml, php for web programming isn't it?

running apache on localhost doesn't require too much resource, plus coding those would require
a simple text editor like notepad only laugh.gif

unless you opt for wysiwyg editor such as dreamweaver

but then, imo i5 is sufficient

Hi,

Just want to ask again, is Dell Inspiron 14 fits my budget very well. I only need for microsoft office and email. The specs is as below

Intel® Core™ i3-380M Processor (2.53Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
2GB (1 X 2GB) 1 DIMM DDR3 1333Mhz
500GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
14" (35.6cm) HD WLED True-Life (1366x768)
Intel® HD Graphics
DVD+/-RW Optical Drive(Win7 Home Premium)
Dell Wireless 1501 802.11b/g/n Half Mini Card (MY)
McAfee® Security Center™ (Multi-Language) - 15 Months Version
2.2AHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Battery
1Yr Ltd Hardware Warranty, InHome Service after Remote Diagnosis

Its selling RM1700 now, is it worth it? Price and weight (2.2kg) is ok with me, just not sure its responsive enough for multiple excels work sheets with macro.

Thanks for the advice.

what's ur budget, the spec is quite outdated.

go for disk management,

the diskpart is cli thingy, most user would prefer a gui instead

ahhh... i've done that earlier but the problem is my hdd has 580GB free space.. so i'm planning to make it 120GB and 460GB but during the process i can only split it even to 290GB each.. cant shrink the volume anymore.. because i don't really need that much hdd space in the main drive C:

maybe you can try 3rd party software such as easeus partition manager?

http://www.partition-tool.com/download.htm

i love to recommend you to use gparted but then
it is quite tedious

no need to format, gparted is okay though, even though originally use it for linux distro, but imo one of most flexible app for disk management
try using the easeus first.

refer to some tutorial or video if u afraid

Yea, there's one according to the website: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/my/en/ho/WF...54-5048664.html

However, it says the starting price is RM3700 yawn.gif

Besides the better graphics card, is there another reason this is better than the Asus n53sv?

Hi, I wanna buy a new laptop for both gaming and work use.. but dunno what to get yet.
I'm not a heavy gamer but at least can play games which requires graphic card properly, most time I'll need it for programming and a bit Photoshop.

budget is lower than 2500 and I don't want any Acer model. any recommendation? if possible shops in LYP which has good service, dun want to be cheated.

thanks

any size will do, and I prefer freedos if there is.
*
hmm.gif freedos option usually available in entry level laptop

so photoshoping, guess 14" and bigger
