When you 1st log in Dell's website, you get to choose home laptops or business laptops. Choosing Home will lead you to, as the name suggests, normal consumer laptops. If you choose business, then you'll be directed to Vostro, Lattitude and Precision lineups

Performance-wise, depends on your configuration. If the specs (CPU + GPU) is the same, then of course the performance would be similar
Vostro units, for the same CPU and GPU, will be more expensive....

The amount of VRAM on a GPU doesn't justify the performance

Hence after bargaining, chances are that you'll get RM2149 for the A43Sj you wanted

Err.... do refer to the latest Asus product guide.. There's an i5-powered A43Sj with GT520m

Don't be too focused on the CPU and GPU and you'll be alright
The most important thing is to go for the laptop that you like most, not necessarily the one that is most bang-for-buck
Hence, you might want to check out the real models and test them 1st before making the final decision

Vostro units are quite rare... as in most retails stores don't display them, not really sure why haha...

For Dell units, you can PM devour or viper88 for more discounts
If you're okay with Dell M102's glossiness, I think it'll be fine

Best bang for buck: HP Dv6 because of the much better GPU.
The others are more or less the same in terms of performance, hence it all boils down to which design you like more and whether you want the better speakers or not etc.

Sure, why not? Upgrading RAM is quite easy
But you need to check out how much RAM does the laptop originally come with... if its 2x2GB... you might need to sell off/bargain with the shop ppl and change to 2x4GB RAM instead

Design and looks depends on personal preferences one since different ppl has different taste...
If you ask me, I would prefer HP Dv6, Asus N53sv and Dell XPS 15
You can also consider Samsung RC530, i7-2630QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM3199 too
