You're going to have to browse through Lowyat plaza or Digital mall to find one. The probability of finding one is higher in LYP.

You might want to add in another RM100
Preferred laptop size? 14"?

In term of processor, Acer wins. In term of GPU, Toshiba wins.

CPU: Acer > Toshiba
GPU: Toshiba > Acer.. (But do take note that the ATI 5650 in Toshs are downclocked)
With your budget, you might want to consider something else like the Dell Inspiron 14R/Asus A43Sv
Or top up to RM2.5k for even better alternatives

reliability, after sales service, GPU, processor, quality and so on...

Reliabilty: Toshiba > Acer
Warranty (stock): Acer > Toshiba
After sales service: Toshiba> Acer
Quality: Toshiba > Acer

Maybe you can look out the Asus A-series~A43Sv, i5-2410M + Nvidia GT540M(1GB)@RM2399 or A43Sj, i3-2310M + Nvidia GT520M@RM1999, Colors:Red/Blue/Pink/Green/Gold/Black. Asus's is very reliable come with 2 years international warranty.

Looking for something that is lighter cuz i often carry it around. 2.8 kg is a little at the heavy side..
I prefer the acer more because of the Specs and freebies...
Is Acer very problematic?

Laptops of the Aspire series are budget line and are comparatively lower in terms of quality compared to TimelineX... but since the laptop is covered by 3 years warranty, then I would say its worth it
