Hi guys, want to ask, is it reasonable to sell my acer laptop at rm500? Acer 2920 13 inch.

spec: intel C2D T5450 @ 1.66ghz, 140gb hard disk, 4gb of ram. All working well except battery 'kong' already and there is 2 keypad cant use.

work stuff, ldap programming, sun oracle linux unix all in VMware!!!! haha also lots of documentation from oracle open office

1st issue, it all depends on luck... perhaps the HDD was damaged prior to purchase etc. Its common in all laptops, regardless of brand
2nd issue, whether a laptop overheats or not pretty much depends on the model of the GPU used, and ultimately the cooling system of the laptop 
In general, Nvidia is better in a sense that they have more regular driver updates; whereas AMD is better in terms of power consumption

Yeah true, so I could only get the one without full HD from garage sales seller here which would be about 3.1k. Dun need get the FullHD lo no choice LOL ~ no money le cant afford.

Yeah i know right, haha. We are on the same ship dude. U decided what to get yet? I mean which one has the higher probability in ur list?
I think now that's left is HP DV6 and N53SV i7. If i can get a good deal on the DV6 then I could get it, or else I think it will end with N53SV.
I enquired from Prince J on the Sager 5165 we'll see what he replies, but Sagers 17" are better I guess with Full HD. The warranty would be another issue though.

how's sager's heat management? currently using a compaq lappy about 3y old still going strong for normal office work and some light gaming but the only thing is the heat issue is sucky

For your budget, the best laptop will be that from Sager... But I doubt can pay via interest free installments
