Laptop dudes, I have a question.
If I do leave my laptop battery connected inside, will it mess up the battery?? Is it advised to leave the battery inside like a machine with integrated battery or take it out? |

QUOTE(next2fate @ Jul 10 2011, 11:18 AM) Sorry about that man! haha! Anyway i took a look at the models you suggested, what if: If it's SB then it's a yes.1. Brand - any 2. Budget - 1.5 - 2.5k 3. Specs - non-gaming, college use, long battery life 4. Size - 14 inch Budget got tighter...>.< if 2k also ok... One more thing, is i3 processor sufficient if it is not for gaming, only using it for college work, movies, and browsing? I'm on an i5 with internal graphics, runs everything pretty smoothly, same usage as you are |

QUOTE(TheGuRL @ Jul 16 2011, 12:52 AM) Looking for laptop at range RM1000 ~ RM1300. Prefer cheaper. ASUS K43U would be the best for you.Use it for office work, watch movie, surfing net, SKYPE and light gaming (dota and maple those, cannot also nvm, got desktop) Netbook also can. But netbook is only cheaper abit. Is it worth it? Added on July 16, 2011, 12:53 am Using AMD E350, you can Dota and Maple without problems 14 inches large :haha: |

QUOTE(manmariotoya @ Jul 16 2011, 09:33 PM) Hi! Suggest me the best laptop price under 3.5k, 14 inch screen, any brand except acer. Btw i dont really use my laptop for gaming purposes but i tends to use mine for long periods so i dont want it to overheat From personal experience,Lenovo G470, i5-2410M + HD3000 @ RM1900 (4GB DDRIII RAM from Evernew!) Can last very long period of time on battery, heating issue doesn't exist |

QUOTE(manmariotoya @ Jul 16 2011, 09:53 PM) hmm, i'm not familiar with lenovo. But i'll consider. Btw does it have any major mobo prob or anything serious? Personal experience... no Everything works fine here. Keyboard is superbly good, tactile is just with the right force, very silent keys too. There are people complaining about the wifi signal strength, somehow it's fine for me on both 802.11g/n |

QUOTE(expertester @ Jul 17 2011, 09:23 AM) Hi, please recommend me a laptop that is below 3k. What you can get is only Dell XPS series Brand: Asus, Dell... doesn't matter as long as reliable and robust. Size: 14 / 15 inch Price: Sub 3k Spec: -------------------- Usage: A lot of reading journal + doing programming in Visual Studio 2010 & Ms SQL 2008. Proc: Probably i5 with turbo boost. <--- VS2010 is a b**** on my old Acer 4530 (Turion dual core 2 GHz). RAM: 4GB ram at least. Keyboard: Backlitted keyboard. <-- work on bed, light off. Battery: Long battery life (no need discrete graphic card). <--- most important HDD : size doesn't matter. Additional note: I have a PC for gaming, multimedia and other heavy stuff. For laptop, the heaviest will be Visual Studio + Ms SQL 2008 express. I need this laptop for work and research purpose. Please advise. Thanks. Has Nvidia Optimus so it does run on integrated graphic card when it's on battery, ensuring you the battery life |
