^@SGSuser
That hyperthreading is virtualising another 2 cores out, not disabling 2 physical cores |

For light gaming and office work that laptop is quite overkill

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 2 2011, 09:09 PM) So far still nothing, but maybe you can check out the Lenovo Z370 as well How light is the G470? The G470 comes with 2GB RAM when stock Z370 too expensive Can we just tell the shop to upgrade it to 4GB RAM? Also not much shops selling Lenovos regardless the G470 i5 version without discreet graphic card This post has been edited by Koki: Jun 2 2011, 09:43 PM |

QUOTE(pandera999 @ Jun 2 2011, 10:33 PM) That wouldn't be such a great idea Compromise battery life for not much of an improvement in graphic performance QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 2 2011, 11:31 PM) That's i3 version no? |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 3 2011, 05:47 PM) Thank you very much, appreciate it It's mad expensive Wow, the Z370 has 750GB HDD lol.... but there's only the i3 in M'sia it seems. The one with i5 is Z470... Still, its quite a good laptop for a 13" since the 3830T/Tg is not around If I'm going to settle for G470 then wanna upgrade to 4GB RAM and that's gonna cost me.....? |

QUOTE(jingyong @ Jun 6 2011, 07:20 PM) What's d fastest netbook now in market? For pure performance, Intel would do great but of course the graphic performance is not as well as AMD's E series or C series I have noted Intel Atom N570 processor in ASUS Eee PC 1015PX.. Any other model has faster performance? |

^Pandera
One specific model of CPU has its own specifications. Like how I say i5-2410M is a dual core that can virtualize 2 more cores out for multitasking, and it has specific L1, L2 and L3 cache, SSE2 or SSE3 etc. |

Seriously, how long can the Lenovo G470 i5 version with HD3000 last with full charged battery?
Assuming doing some work with mediocre requirements with WiFi on And I'm still worried with the WiFi problem  |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Jun 8 2011, 02:37 PM) That depends on whether it has the GPU-switching program e.g. BACON or not haha~ That Lenovo doesn't have GPU switching If don't have, perhaps around 2.5- 3 hours? That's the time I got for my gf's Toshiba M500 (i5-430M + Nvidia G310M) Also, which shop at Lowyat sells the G470 and offers free upgrade to 4GB RAM? |
