just read that it does not have a notification LED. It does concern me as I will have to keep waking up my phone to check if there's a miss call or SMS in case i left it for awhile.

Dunno which is my next target.. waiting for  a dual core long time ago. Now alrdy have one.. cannot find next target yet after have this one. nothing for me to wait anymore feel sad now

You have set TW as default?
if yes then go setting> apps > manage apps > chose TW and clear launch by default

then hit Home button you can choose launcher pro

blue tooth doesn't work because this is bluetooth 3.0. If u're laptop is few months old, ur bluetooth is probably 2.1. so it doesnt support. this is phone of the future. =)
