QUOTE(gunh @ May 8 2011, 09:55 PM) membrane type is not advisible... after sometimes, the membrane will get choke from the dirt partical and required regular maintenance or replacement... Exactly what i told Jo_da48 and also it will reduce ur direct water pressure a lot. FYI, this is what i found from the web » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Today i saw the HYDRO ONE FILTER advertisment in The Star - Star Metro Events section, thats what they claim too when they first promote their product in Cosway catalogue. In fact my filter they offer even better term 10 years warranty!!! However, the filter only in my home for 1 years, so many problems of the filter leakage keep on coming up. After sales service also very very bad, more or less like UMW Toyota service center. Even refund for my purchase also take a long time, now its already way pass 1 months, they earlier promise me the money will be refund in 2 weeks time from the date of filed complaint. The moral of the story DON'T BUY HYDRO ONE FILTER U WILL REGRET IT!! I AM THE VICTIM!!! http://www.usj.com.my/bulletin/upload/arch...php/t-7636.htmlThis post has been edited by zheilwane: May 9 2011, 12:11 AM

QUOTE(ann khee @ Jul 22 2011, 01:47 PM) I am using sand filter filter from Filter First. Been using for almost 5 years. So far so good. I bought it as it's cheap, not mistaken RM1k+, budget constrain. However if there's water cut, usually when water supply resumes, incoming water is dirty with whitish particles. Then sand filter cannot filter this. So I usually let water run for some time till it's clear again. Just close the water inlet to your pump and install a bib tap before the filter. After water rationing, just open the bib tap and let the water flow out.
