Hello sifu-sifu sekalian

Been wearing Gel Rocket 4 for nearly 2 years, and recently received a surprise from my gf, Asics Gel TVR437 !

3 sessions so far, and apparently its lighter than Gel Rocket 4 but much more comfortable, thanks to breathable mesh at the sides and front, gel system provides very good cushioning, and it fits my wide feet nicely and withstand my weight while moving, jumping and landing comfortably. Btw my Gel Rocket 4 is still in good condition even nearly 2 years, no problem on rubber court, but kinda slippery on parquet. No doubt on the durability tho !

I'd recommend asics and mizuno as well. Especially in the long run, they wont disappoint you in term of the shoes durability as well as protection for your feet and knees. Take a look at Gel Blade 3 or Wave Lightning 7. If budget is a concern, you can try Asics Gel Ribre as well, around RM170 if Im not mistaken. Other than that there's Gel Rocket for around RM240. Etakoh in Pertama Complex has wide selection of asics. As well as AJ in Puchong and Hock Eng in Bangi. Let us know after you get em' too

Im not sure, but I wear slightly large size, US13, so doesnt really feel that tight. Maybe tight on the first few occasion, but after the break in done, shouldnt be problem. Yeah TVR437 is wider, albeit higher on the heels, this model is not popular, I guess its primarily for volleyball. Owh Im not sure, but its close to 2 years already. I play 3-4 times, sometimes 5 a week, the soles I clean it after session with water to prevent dust building up, and mild soap to clean up the exterior and I dont leave my shoes direct under the sun nor leaving it in my car or something, maybe thats the contributing factor of the shoes durability ?

I think as long as its indoor court shoes, shouldnt be problem for badminton, but most importantly is how the user feel towards the shoes.

I noticed he was using SW37 for the first set against Danish pair in 2nd round, then switched back to MX80 for the remaining sets. Did he use SW37 throughout the whole match against Markis/Hendra ?

But judging from previous games, it wasnt the racket, he was kinda struggle to cope up the pressure compare to the younger LYD.

Yesterday in Proshuttle Cheras, I saw someone collapsed on the floor while hand on his face. Thought he fainted due to fatigue but after he was carried away to the bench, we saw his partner's racket was broken. He was hit straight on his face from his partner swing.

Then I dont know what happened to him, hopefully he's fine.

Lots of intermediate players here. Im intimidated liao. But how come you guys said "just intermediate" or "only intermediate" , that "intermediate" level is pretty high in Malaysia. Being intermediate, I bet you can pretty much wield any racket as your technique and footwork are real good. Only suitability of the racket is up to personal preference eg: head heaviness, weight, stiffness etc etc.

ziggy, where you play usually ? Can learn a trick or two from you if we meet up hehe.

I think couple of years back I joined the La Salle Wednesday session, but I think u werent there (I'd remember as you'd kick my arse upside down if I play against you). The Sunway session is for intermediate/advance, me fatAss kenot play one haha. If you are below average, those international pros would have been average then

I like stiff shaft as well, I never play with flexible shaft before. From Cab 20,21 era. Actually Ti-10 new price is only around rm360 with string and grip, quite an amount from MX80, MX80 mahal la bang. Seems like alot favors BS10 over the old Ti-10

Played with SW35, its a nice racket with alot of power but I think its kinda heavy at least for me, I wanna look for something more forgiving nowadays hehe.

Oit oit, never in any post I mentioned anything about me being intermediate weyh ! Im always the kind of beginner-average level guy, mishit and clumsy footwork are my best friends on court. You dont quote me wrong later they ask for match I die liao haha
