Hi, all the sifus...i got a doubt in mind...

Normally i play mens double with my frens, but I am a defensive and control player...my drop shot and placing is not bad...my smashing is ok ok...BUT i think is not that powerful compare with my fren..

The ques is here, i should get a defendsive racket (Balance type, light weight) which is suitable for me??...or i should get a offensive racket (Head heavy) to improve my smashing ??
*
my suggestion get fast swing racket such as yonex ns series n play more drive shot the lower better cos u got gud defense n control :-) when your drive speed improve you can smash from low height..just suggestion cheers

Hey guys sorry if I just pop out of nowhere but I wanted to askĀ  opinion on getting a badminton shoe.

My budget can be ranged from 1xx to 2xx, well I don't really care if it is slightly more expensive IF it can at least really last me that long.

Last time I used the red yonex badminton shoe used by taufik(not sure if he is still using it now) which I don't really like it mainly because the tip of the shoe is too tight for me.

I broke 3 of my toe nail but anyway lets leave that aside.

My main concern would be durability. Even though this shoe been killing me, after a while my leg kinda fit in so no more pain after. It lasted me quite a while with 2 session of 2.5 hours badminton weekly at least, sometimes more than 4, for i think almost half a year when the grip decided not to stick on floor and the non racket foot shoe mouth start opening.

Now I recently bought a Fleet shoe that cost RM1xx, it is of cos comfortable but in less than a month BOTH the shoe's mouth opened which I felt I kinda get ripped off and on the verge to replace it if I could find another pair soon.

Anyone have good badminton shoe to recommend?
I'm trying to find a shoe that have it's mouth sew by default or else I might have just send my current shoe to shoemaker to sew it.

mizuno wave lightning 3++ but extra cushion use xtra insole even better..comfort n durable..mine last one year already never wash hehe- play 3x a week - cement surface..js need to replace d xtra insole every 6 month..worth investment

Hmm, as far as I know volleyball shoes is slightly elevated which I find it quite dangerous and more prone to spraining your ankle.

Of cos I wouldn't say nobody sprained their ankle with badminton shoes but badminton shoes reduce the possibility of it happening hence I'm sticking to badminton shoes. I know some would had because of their footwork but I'm not gonna risk it though.

Thanks anyway for your advice. smile.gif

well everybdy got preferences..the height is ok no diff i thk from any bdmtn shoe..play with both injured knee 4 set double + 5 set single no pblm..since i use mizuno..les stress on d knee n nomo sprain ankle..if u without injury any shoe pun ok..lucky no budget if not pick mizuno tornado hehe..just luv the cushion esp aftr jumpg..neway for mizuno and asics some might preferd the volleyball cos wide base..more comfortable..cant recomend u any bdmintn brand shoe tho cos din use for long time..some say invest in ur shoe first then raket

sharing is caring :-) happy shoping find the best shoe for your budget. better go to seller who play d games he can advise u

buy shoe with proven tech not just based on ads i think asics proove it in utube hehe.. fyi i was amaze looking how mizuno tornado cushion work for the first time when a 50+ y old guy bring it to court hehe, he is single player thk state level..ask around..u'll notice some ppl might alrd change for the 3rd shoe b4 one year and the guy still using the same shoe :-) look around your court..for asics some with more gel..more gel more xpnsv..i heard mizuno cheap in johor got kilang there? even some pro play with knee brace lk taufik..so if ur feet still good protect it from the beginning..thk with21 point will force youto max at time cos speed of the game compared to 15..haha i saw some senior folk still play 15 nowaday..now dats OLDSKOOL badminton

no need to wash d shoe..use only on court..wont get dirty..only green paint will stick if u play on cement testimon of how much time u spend on court hehe..you'll suprise it will last longer

guys voltric 80 recomended for double? isit tiring the wrist after sometime?some comment build lactic acid? - intermediate player. tested sw36 but thk suitable for single for me

bg66 lasting 4-5 months and u're still not satisfied? lol
bg80 lasted me around 2 months (playing 2-3 times a week) and i was a happy man

btw, after 4-5 months, string lost lots of tension. bg66 isnt too costly, so string it up once every 1-2 months will increase game experience smile.gif
*
bg66 can even break in one day..depend on hitting. .last time bg66 only rm18 for a long time now keep increasing till rm30..the game bcome more xpnsve nowaday always naik harga..if u injurd even more xpsv..so many guard to wear..doi

I'm not a pro myself, but I've been longing around badmintoncentral forum for quite some time and for that budget, I'd say go for the SW35. It's like RM350 frame only(in LYN Street Mart) and being praised by quite a lot of people. Recommended for head heavy user.

I was initially planning to get 1 head heavy but judging from my wrist's injury, I'm safer to stay away from head heavy and decided to stay with head light racket.
*
agreed wit weinhseen go for sw or bs09..i own artery tec 95c / 95p. both are good but sw better..yet to test bs..can find good price from LYN..stop using at95p cos hand injury havy head..now using sw36..medium feeling..can get enuf need sm training to unleash the power :-)

but if you like just pure hard smash n not doing trick shot go for pro ace..sweetspot etc.

but its all depend on technique also, light head right string tension als can gv good smash punch

Added on September 30, 2011, 11:10 pmguy need some advice..i just trying kuku bima n xtra joss energy drink..the problem is im not getting tired (drained)..even get dizzy after playg double, after short rest still can play single few sets..my wory is it too good to be true..any comment on this supplements?

I've heard about that..

I'm just playing casually actually, would it really affect? hmm.gif

its could be the one of cause..other related cause use of excessive force, from wrist n shoulder (just happen 2have medical ref book hehe)..there are 2 types actually affect diff area
