Another unsatisfying C3 user, mainly the subwoofer is the culprit. I think Edifier need to tweak this model a little bit or completely removed in from their catalog. Because the subwoofer is a little bit deceiving. It have the size and look, but it doesn't pack enough power for that.

What sound card you use? Sometime sound card will affect the bass quality too.
Please connect to MP3 player to check whether the bass got any improvement, if yes mean your sound card produce weak bass.

it's crazy listening to kids spending 500-700 on soundcards for their crappy RM500 speaker system, when they can get a proper full set HT system like onkyo for RM1200-1400, and just use HDMI out to stream their audio, and HDMI-DVI cable back to the LCD monitor.

Sometimes I agree with you, many kids talking about crazy opinions.
Well we do know that Onkyo HT amplifier is a better way to enjoy good HT but the amplifier alone cost a bomb to kids not to mention that how much the passive speaker will cost.
Furthermore, its more on a 2.1 speaker and that "kid" is talking about how to enjoy music in stereo way, not Onkyo.
Lastly, a good sound card can blow Onkyo internal DAC out of the way, I don't know whether this is a proper way to explain to TS smile.gif

Well, you have to admit one thing, the woofer may not be that strong, but the sound quality are really amazing smile.gif.

You should have tested before you get it..

anyway, for me to really feel the bass, i put my woofer right under my bed and my computer table is beside my bed. When you crank it up you can really feel the bass. Positioning does helps a lot too smile.gif. Last time i put it at my table and on the floor near me, bass like no effect..under the bed at least can feel it now wink.gif
