I believe most of us are aware of the advantages of the iPad models. However, the tablet market is still a very young and growing line of post-pc devices.
We all have been more or less familiar with pc and laptops, netbooks are still more or less just baby laptops. We all have some idea what we want out of a mobile computing device, and therefore there are some expectations that we tend to have with a tablet device.
The problem happens when we want to try to replace the laptop with our ipad in terms of our day to day mobile computing usage. Some of us ran into some unexpected issues with the ipad when we assumed the ipad should be able to do certain things, like for example, some guy just realized that a core function of spreadsheet programs just isn't yet available on the ipad like the pivot table and sort functions. Numbers doesn't do it, so doesn't docs to go.
I want this thread to help us discover and be better informed on the limitations of the ipad. please share issues that seem like the ipad SHOULD be able to do, but currently does not. And if you do happen to know there is a workaround to the problem, or there is a solution already available, you can share it here too.
Here's some that I found :
-cannot perform sort and filtering for all known spreadsheet programs, numbers, docs to go, even pivot tables.
- bluetooth file transfer does not work with phones or laptop, even ifiles only allows bluetooth file tranfer with other ios devices running ifiles ONLY
-more later
What the ipad 2/ ipad CANNOT DO, Constructive discussion please
