QUOTE(wilsonphua @ May 7 2011, 02:42 PM) I turn it off already. Still lag in large maps. With high terrain details. Don't know if my laptop will burn if I try Battlefield 3 on it. Haha yeah it is quite demanding. and the recommended GPU for the battlefield 3 is GTX580 for the best gameplay.Damn I need to find a better rig fast. |

The Witcher 2 will also gives trouble to even dekstop GTX580 when enabling ubersampling, so that's why I didn't
play that game, at least not before I get my M17x. |

QUOTE(wilsonphua @ Jul 17 2011, 11:25 AM) yeap, nearly RM5k, but at least I can spend my money on SSD. CrossfireX Dual HD5870M, of course you need to always update the driver and crossfire profile to get the best experience in gaming. *sorry for getting off-topic. |

QUOTE(wilsonphua @ Jul 17 2011, 12:24 PM) Waa...Crossfire gpu for less than rm5000, you must be very lucky. haha yeah quite lucky. I have to wait for another 5 years to graduate and buy one for myself. Sad I'm not sure about Asus products. I work over the summer to buy this one myself, I'm still a student as well. Don't feel bad, you'll get a better gaming system in the future. |

QUOTE(wilsonphua @ Jul 17 2011, 01:21 PM) Then, I understand. Don't think a card like GT540M can run games in external monitor with high settings, already suffer at native resolution already GT540M is still a decent GPU for 720p gaming, not that bad I would say. No wonder...u study in UK? people say the salary is very high for part time in other country, many ppl work during summer Yeap, studying in the UK, will come back to Malaysia for holiday and hari raya this mid august. |

QUOTE(esdome @ Jul 19 2011, 10:25 AM) I'm currently play Battlefield 2 Bad Company with my Acer 5750G, is there any improvement if i upgrade my RAM from original 4GB to 6GB or 8GB? Upgrading the RAM will not increase the performance, 4GB is more than enough for gaming. Maybe if you want to decrease the loading time, you can upgrade to a faster HDD.This post has been edited by hidz7: Jul 19 2011, 07:19 PM |

QUOTE(wilsonphua @ Jul 19 2011, 12:22 PM) Got two options to increase performance.....overclock or Vidock DIy.. Well, you can overclock the GPU provided it is in safe limit and temperature. But diy Vidock, imho is not very practical, you might as well buy a desktop instead. |
