yup, ea games makes really good core engines.. i expect alot from bf3
*
EA only publishes the game in this case. Crytek made the game. CryEngine 2 for Crysis was horribly inefficient. Only when Crysis: Warhead came out did the engine get optimized for running better on lower end rigs.

Eh? I thought Dice is the developer for BF3 and it's gonna use Frostbite 2.0 engine. When Crytek enter frame?

GT335M can also perform pretty well on Ultra settings for SC2, though it's not as enjoyable due to the lower frame rate.

actually there's no point running a game on ultra settings...i'd rather play it at higher resolution without shadows and motion blur.

and smooth

Just to show off only la~ haha laugh.gif

I normally play on high settings without AA.

my main concern now is that our laptops can play Battlefield 3 or not? LOL

if can play, I wanna preorder the Battlefield 3 and get the free DLC "Back to Karkand"

but scared if buy it, then suddenly, cant play cause too lag
*
Definitely playable for yours. The GT540M is by no means weak for its output range. Mine on the other hand, might need an upgrade.

Kinda like how we had an argument whether a keyboard is really a gaming keyboard just because it was used for gaming in the Hardware subforum... sweat.gif

btw, I really want to know this. Why people say GT435M is better than GT520M? I cannot brain it.
*
Because the 4 and 5 are only series number. To get an idea of the performance level, you look at the 2nd number.

A 3 will always be better than a 2 if they are only a series apart.

GTA IV has an absurd requirement, especially for CPU. A lot of desktops have problems running it smoothly.

You need patch bro.

I got two edition of Call of Duty Black Ops.

One is ciplak. Another one is RM160 original Steam.

The ciplak one without patch is super laggy.

The original one, I can get more than 60FPS (always constant 75FPS) in multiplayer, and 40FPS - 60FPS in single player

My settings:
Res = 1366x768
Texture = Ultra
MSAA = 2X (off in single player)
Anisotropic = Max
Shadows, shaders = off
others all max

Haih, still havent ask my dad about buying the Asus 1015B.

I feel so bored in uni.

need to bring a netbook to the library and online lol laugh.gif

*
Agreed with the Black Ops patches. The Jack Sparrow version runs like molasses, my Steam version is pretty smooth.

Maybe you should save for the 1015B instead? laugh.gif

It's doable, but then again, the processor will be a bottleneck 80% of the time.
