you can try using dvdvideosoft free studio. its quite good. But nowadays i didnt convert my video files anymore. i bought an app at appstore called avplayerhd for US$2.99. basically you can throw in nearly any video format into your ipad and play it using this app. and the best thing about it, it support subtitle file as well smile.gif

If I have an AVC/H264 codec video, I can play it by using a video app.

If the video isn't in the container that's supported by the app or default video player, I simply use avidemux for Windows to re-mux it into a proper container (preferably .mp4) It's a split second move and there's no conversion needed. Heck 1080p can be played with using an app. What's more, 1080p avi also played smoothly. The app is a free one too.

Hope it helps. I hate to convert loads of stuff just for ipad. smile.gif

using the avplayerhd app , you just need to add the files to the app folder under file sharing. You can also transmit wirelessly, the app will generate an ip address and you can access through your computer and send the files to your ipad. But I dont suggest sending large file because it will take some time. if you dont want to buy app, then you can use the dvdvifdeosoft free studio at your computer and convert your video files

There is no lagging at all for avi, mkv, mp4 whether full hd or normal quality, because mostly my video files are in that formats, luckily you asked for rmvb, I just tested it and it lags..basically I never have rmvb video files, but for the sake of testing it I just downloaded and try a rmvb movie file...so I guess the best option for you guys out there who mostly using rmvb files, is to convert the files first to your iPad . By the way the app is tested on my iPad 2 with the latest iOS update.

already try using the handbrake converter to RM file, but it seems will reduce the frame rate after conversion, means the movie converted is lagging >,>
