jz wanna give you my 2cents in this matter
i bought my kindle 5 from shirogawa
and i can say i have no regrets buying this baby!
if u like gadgets with no touchscreen and all, kindle 5 is the way to go!
i've read more than 100 books on this baby and still counting.
so far no problem (i got my kindle in december)
charge only once every 3wks or month
can send ebooks over to kindle via wifi when lazy to connect via USB
other than that, if u prefer touchscreens then nook simple touch will do

yep, u are right!
i got this device so that i can save on my books expenditure and also to reduce my carbon footprints (which i already did btw)
amazing device i can tell u that this ebook readers

i tot ipad would do the trick but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
what i love most bout kindle 5 is also the e-ink screen which is amazing cos there is no light emitting from it
which means u can actually finish reading a novel in a sitting (i always do when it is a great book!)
it does not heat up AT ALL
and weighs almost nothing

if u wanna type on kindle 5, forget bout it, it is difficult but not impossible
it is so thin i had to get a rubber skin so that it does not slip out my butterfingers

buttons on the sides are really great so tt i do not even need to lift a finger to turn the page
so i can while lying down

so yeah, i freaking love my kindle!
