Hi Guys,

I'm new here. Looking around for a replacement for 2005 Waja. Can't seem to decide on Honda City or Inspira. I know..two completely different cars..hahaha. But they are in the same price range.

The 2.0 Inspira looks good...and now with the 5year warranty and 5 year free service, it sure is tempting.

I've had 2 Protons before...a 1999 Wira and my current ride, the Waja. I told myself I would not get another Proton but after looking at the Inspira, i would need to reconsider my thoughts blush.gif

Anyways, I've read thru this forum and others too. I suppose all cars will have some kind of problems. It matters most when the SC is willing and diligently attends to the problem.

Still can't seem to decide on which to go for.

Any of you guys dealt with Mutiara Damansara Proton Edar showroom ? Also, any good SC in the PJ or KL area ?

Thanks and cheers

I dealt with some SA there, ok lar. But the SC sucks lor.....you can try an SC (small corner shop) near the old Lim Kok Wing building there....i am going there for next service.

Honda City?? It sucks lor...probably worst than your Waja. No power, small, and engine squeal like a girl under stress. I test drive that piece of junk and even my wife seyz no power, just a bit better than a Myvi....Just go test drive and you'll see...iF buy Honda City, better buy Persona...u save RM30K upfront!

Have you any serious problem with ur Waja so far?
*
Yea...i test drove the City. I didn't quite like it. Very plasticky interior too.

No serious problems with the Waja...apart from the fuel pump (last month), engine mounting, rear absorbers, power windows and many more maintenance stuff over the years. Not to mention the irritation of hearing all the panels vibrate. Not cheap though to maintain it and Waja 2nd hand value seem to be low these days.

I thought maybe its time for a change and am looking around at what's available within 80k - 90k range.

Where's this SC that you mentioned, near the old Lim Kok Wing ? Not too sure where it is ?

You can try ask the owner here if they want to sell their inspira body kit .... alot of them change to either lancer kit or Evo X kit ... ask around =D most probably after 3 years warranty only change the parts one ...

if u looking for 80k - 90k have u check forte ??? Forte seems to be a good choice too but i prefer inspira coz of the sporty look and plan to mod it >< i've tested city and inspira City has very sux interior, dashboard it feels very cheap inside and it cost you 95k with modulo set full package. Inspira i get discount for my car so is around 90k I get 2.0 cvt and i got my car today no problem at all = D dam happy with it. Will be updating in this forum if i got any problem with my car but i think my SA will help me out so its ok even if my car has problems. Windows no sound coming in, no gaps in between rear lights, no sound coming out from suspension. I've checked all the problems that were once a problem for other inspira user. Mine seems like no problem =D hope next service dun suddenly all the problem come out XD.

Hi...good that you've got your car. I'm sure its awesome.

Yea...i checked out the Forte but not too sure its value in about 5 - 6 yrs down the road and not many Kia SC around too. Just not sure of the reliability of the Forte.

Which outlet did you get your car from ?

I noticed that the current batches don't have tweeters on the side mirrors. I hope this doesn't affect the performance of the sound system.
Also, I read somewhere that the current batches don't have the black protective layer in the wheel arches.
Is Proton cutting back on the specs of the Inspira ?

how does the proctective layer looked like?? any pic of it? abt the tweeter, u can browse thru this topic, but i dont know which page, that say something abt the difference between earlier n later batch...

The black layer is sort of rubberish feel. It's in most cars inside the wheel arches. It's mainly to prevent stone chips to the paintwork on the inside of the wheel arch.
Sorry I don't have a picture of it.
