2 days ago they called me, telling me last time i got a card application canceled and they would actually like to approve it now.. seems like business not so good eh? hehe

Use my EON bank credit card to pay my brother school fees and about RM6k transaction and HLB, ex of EON didn't ring me for nothing.
Very bad customer service after EON bank merge to HLB mad.gif vmad.gif

Yup (probably) ... that's what normally happens when business dips.
Especially when the BNM enforcement / implementation of the credit card limit is just around the corner. The GST implementation itself caused a dent in the market.

After 2 weeks plus, I still haven get any news from Hong Leong then i call the customer service. Then the person in charge checked on my status and told me that my DOCUMENT IS INCOMPLETE. Then i'm wondering how come Hong Leong didn't inform me about that. Is is I HAVE TO CALL only then they will tell me why my application is pending mad.gif  Then only there come a person called me and asked me to fax my IC, driving license to her. So i faxed to her. After a few days NO NEWS AGAIN  vmad.gif  Then i called this person to ask for the status and she promised to find out whats the problem. Then she said my fax copy is NOT CLEAR ENOUGH and asked me to fax to her again so i faxed ANOTHER TIME to her. Then NO NEWS AGAIN  vmad.gif  and i called her again and she asked me to send soft copy to her. So i sent to her. After a few days she smsed me told me the application is approved, do i want to proceed. Of course i told her to proceed. The whole process is sooooo troublesome!!!

Then i've decided to apply for Maybank Card 2. The person who serve me is so nice and I RECEIVED THE MAYBANK CARD 2 WIHOUT ANY HASSLE on the 1st day of the 3rd week from the day i applied. MAYBANK IS SO FAST & EFFICIENT  thumbup.gif

By the end of April, i received a letter from Hong Leong saying that my application was rejected as they required additional information/docment  BUT the date of this letter is 11th of April. So i'm wondering shd i follow this letter that said i'm rejected or shd i follow what she said that ask me to proceed.

Today, 5th of May (which is almost 2 months) i received the CC from Hong Leong. When i opened the envelop, i found that Hong Leong did not give me the card i applied(Essential Card), Hong Leong gave me a CLASSIC Card. WHAT IS THIS !!! AFTER TONS OF HASSLE AND THEY GAVE ME THE WONG CARD !!!  mad.gif  Then i called the customer service immedieatly and ask about this. Then the person in charge told me that "Essential card is same category with Gold card. While for the classic card, the annual income is ONLY 18k." -- she had some kind of meaning that i cant meet the requirement thats y i get Classic card  vmad.gif  Then i told her i know that Essential card requires 30k salary per annum and i meet the requirement, then she ask me to wait(she is going to ask some1 bout that). Then do u know how she answer me? she said "THE APRROVAL IS BASED ON THE MANAGEMENT DECISION ".  i'm eligible to apply for the card and now she told me THIS KIND OF ANSWER !!! Then i suggest Hong Leong to include a note there stated "IT IS SUBJECT TO MANAGEMENT DECISION ALTHOUGH YOU MEET THE REQUIREMENTvmad.gif  WHAT KIND OF EXCUSE IS THIS. GIVING THE WRONG CARD THEN SIMPLY FIND AN EXCUSE TO COVER UP THE FAULT  vmad.gif

Besides, if Hong Leong feels that i dont meet the requirement, why they approved my application and ask me whether want to proceed. Actualy they can reject me directly and eliminate all the hassle. vmad.gif

Hong Leong Bank = TONS of HASSLE + GOOD in MAKING EXCUSE

HLB declined my visa signature. the reason is that I already have plat card with HLB and they cannot issue me VS as it is not possible for these two cards to share credit limit. They asked me to reduce my plat card limit at branch and will issue VS with credit limit following the amount that I reduced.

Before that, they asked me to fax them my statements, which I felt a bit weird since I already have credit card with HLB. Well, I just fax to them again thinking perhaps they wanted to update my profile in their system.

It seems even though HLB and EON are merged, they are still under two different management but sharing one credit system. I asked them to help me cancel the plat card and re-issue the VS to me, but they refused by stating they are from different departments, blablabla, and insist me to go the branch.

Instead of solving this matter themselves internally, they prefer to hassle me as their loyal customer for like 5-6 yrs (personal, current, credit card, home loan all with them) to solve the problem myself. In the end, I told the officer "you want you just give, dont want dont give lah. why want to trouble me?" as I found it so troublesome to have me go the bank for this unimportant thing.

It is no surprise that the topic of this thread mentioned "worst service, bad experience". Previously, I kept telling others that I think HLB is as good as PBB, but now sighhh... rather offended and unhappy by how their system works. feel to cancel my cc with them and move to other banks since their plat cc has nothing to shout about.

Yah the HLB Plat really useless. Fortunately I have the Ex-EON Bank Visa Signature before the merger. For my case, both cards are treated separately with separate statements and have separate credit limit. My payment by cheque for the HLB VS is still payable to "EBB for". By coincidence, both my VS and Plat have the same credit limit and so far have not been reduced.

Just confirming here, now all banks system shutdown near 12 am right?

Yesterday, I try to pay my CC at 11.38pm, the screen show temporarily out of service. I tot is just that branch, mana tau, I got another branch also same.
Then, there is 2 Indian guys outside the branch told me bank close bcos all the screen is showing temporarily out of service. This is about 11.42pm. I reach home bout 11.58pm.

I try to pay yesterday bcos today no need stuck at traffic jam just to pay my CC, mana tau HLB....haih

HLB
1) CC sucks
2) CSR sucks
3) Counter CSR sucks
4)
5)
.....etc

I wonder y still can be the anchor/strong bank...I wonder BNM knows how HLB operates....

Now even, make payment also so ma fan....

I think all for us settle all the debts any migrate to other bank, boycott HLB....


Added on October 20, 2011, 1:40 pmI asked the CSR, cash deposit open 24 hrs....

But system update at 11pm, how long, unknown......

So, i wonder y the open the machine 24hrs where all other banks atm shutdown already....where ppl goin get cash to use the cash deposit machine..... doh.gif doh.gif

System also not logic.....

HLB do sucks...their customer service exec's sucks, rotten English on the phone & face-to-face when going to the branch to pay certain transactions.
I have house loan with HLB and im waiting for my house period over then i want to refinance to another bank, indeed not under this bank even if they counter good offers.

HLB is the worst bank...

the staff is not well trained... they can simply scold their customer...

My mum tried to apply RM27k personal loan and the young fatty promised that my mum already approved from their side..

but in the end the HQ called my mum only approved RM9k.. argh.. if they cannot approve so much money.. why do they wanted to promise at first?

and also the RM9k wait for 3weeks... still got no money in the current account...

seriously.. if not i screw until the young fatty boss... i guess the problem still exist... they should train well their newbie staff before let them to serve customers....

another worst scenario is.. ALL HLB BRANCHES THE CUSTOMER RECEPTION are NO STAFF sitting there one...

so when you go their bank... it is just like ... you dont know who to ask.. where to ask...

I made payment to my CC Fortune card amount 1540 and got extra 4.93, so called up CSR to transfer to other BT account. Transfer successful, statement also show had been transfer. Come to my surprise, actually it didnt.....I found by counter check with my spreadsheet to track my expenditure

It is not reflect in the BT account, I called ask, even the CSR was surprise tat their system, zero at the CC and said the amount had transfer to the BT account.

Now I seriously not believe their system, if i did not found out and others not found out. HLB suddenly make money out of no where....

Just imagine 1 customer RM5, and maybe Malaysia wide not sure how many case liao... HLB would be very happy....

Ppl using HLB please counter check tat this did not happen to u....
