Hmmm... don't know where to start.... anyway here is my opinion:

Got my E11 yesterday evening . Have bought E3 (sold) and also E5 (both 1st version, bought just after available to market).

Compare to E5, E11 give more OMMPH to the music. Without the amp, my SRH440, I can hear some sound that missing before. Added E11, there is even more. Bass tighter and punchier. Balance in high and mid.

Most of time I put gain to Low and EQ to 1 or 2, depend on the music type. That what I like about E11, got switch that will give a different sound. I like to change it on the fly.

Really recommended to all if you use DAP most of the time.

My friend got CMOY but haven't have time to really compare with E11. (always bz at the office).

Current setup:

I have test E11 with a few headphone, I can say it will improve the bass (low feq) but still depend on the set you using... even with some cheap2 one will hear some different but not so much.

Last saturday, I bring my E11 to Times Square to test some cheap headphone. The seller there never see E11 before and really curious to test it. From what I can see in their face impression, they really like it and keep asking where I bought it.

If you like bass then Beat can beat all others... you can feel the bass vibrate on your ears...

If you use E7 as USB DAC (connected using USB cable), then what is the point getting Xonar. It's will bypass Xonar anyway or your current sound card. If you use E7 as amp only (connect sound card output to E7 input), no point to keep your E7, you not utilize the DAC function.

If you use E7 + E11 then it will double amp. That doesn't mean good.

The best is to use E7 + E9. E9 connect to PC using USB. Edifier E3100 will be connected to RCA line out at E9. And when want to use headphone, plug in at E9 (in front).
