hi anyone here know if there is any application out there that can enable my ipad to receive call or sms. this is my backup line with internet unlimited. i will be receiving minimal phone call and sms.

Can u receive call using ur maxis sim card using ur Pc/laptop?

FYI , iPad does not have iPhone's cellular ability to call and send sms

sorry...ipad 2 cannot support viber.

IPad 2 can support viber , tried it with call and message ( viber ) works flawlessly. However it is native iPhone app so bear it with small iPhone screen or 2x enlarging but blurry. RetinaPAD if you want it looks better.

There's no way of using it as a phone with either your post paid or prepaid line. Either get connected to the net and use some Apps for VoIP call.

Maybe TS mistaken iPad 2 wifi+3G works like Samsung Galaxy Tab 3G coz the latter can works as a phone as well....a huge phone!
