Your kids will say the same thing when you're old. If you don't believe me, write down my words in a piece of paper and wrap it nicely in your purse. Don't take it out until you have kids of your own that can talk to you as an adult.

My dad was like that when we have a new house and still staying in the old house. They have sentimental values over the old house. You just have to move a little bit at a time to the new house or get your siblings/parents to shift a bit of stuff to the new house. Invite them over to sleep in the new house for superstitious reasons and see if they're comfortable etc.
