Guys, I need some advice.. icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

I'm currently using 50D, and both Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 and 10-22mm..

I will be heading to Perth for my vacation, should I bring both lens along? or Just 24-70mm? blink.gif
There'll be lots of opportunity photographing beach landscape, city view etc etc..

With 10-22 the landscape would be nice but I'm afraid bringing all of them will be quite heavy for me
sweat.gif sweat.gif and it might be another problem for me when it comes to switching lenses?

appreciate the replies... thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

Funneh thread.

You'll be kicking yourself hard in the a$$ when the feeling of regret starts to creep in during your vacation..Think about it happy.gif

Btw, most of us here drool and dream of owning a UWA for our overseas vacation . But you have one, but your excuse is that "it is heavy"? How lame is that doh.gif

I favor the 10-22 over the 24-70 when it comes to travel.

I'm with Goldie on this... bring the 10-22 and maybe a fast prime. Leave the brick at home and enjoy your vacation.

I've been to Perth a few times. You'll definitely want to bring your 10-22.

If I had the choice, I would take a 10-22 and probably a 15-85/18-200 and a flash. Good enough. smile.gif

I brought my 70-200 F2.8L IS USM to Perth for my vacation a few years back. It wasn't a very wise choice. laugh.gif

haha. 70-200, how often you get to use that range?

very simple la guys, look at travel photos. see the % of wide photos.

1kg additional weight could mean more discomfort, depending on the person and how much lugging around.

Yup exactly. Most of the time I was using my 18-55 IS laugh.gif But an UWA would definitely help though.

For vacation, 10-22 + 18-200 + a flash would be quite adequate. You're there to relax and enjoy, not to go on a photo safari or what not laugh.gif

If you're travelling alone then bring both but if you're with the family or whatever... just enjoy your vacation rather than worry about the camera all the time.

offload your 18-55 and 18-135 then re-configure your setup with 15-85 travel lens
15 should be wide enough. dont have the dramatic UWA look but still better than 17

Yes. 1585 is good all around lens especially for travel. 15 is wide and 85 can zoom very far ed.
